No idea why they removed the 100 free gold, honestly.
TBF, it is better, if you buy it (at least with the EG and GWs, gotta check other rewards). But if not, well: SUCK IT, PLEBS (DF, probably). Lucky me that I managed to get that 900 just yesterday, but this is just shafting every newcomer forward.
I would still prefer the old format with Golden Orders. But yes, on paper the “value” is better.
But that’s not enough for me personally. The BP is going to be way more FOMO heavy.
True, this new format doesn’t exclude the use of the GO’s, that change is just to put even more pressure on players to throw money at the game, instead of saving for the favourite. They could easily retain both systems, with BP being cheaper (900 for 4 GWs, 2 GSs and 2 GVs, instead of 750 for each one individually) and preferable in the long run, with BP shop and GOs retained for those that were late or broke at the initial run.

well… it has gotten smaller and thus its easier to have a “overview” of ones progression. But that’s more of a quality of life change, when the stuff that you get in the end is simply less - then its simply less.
What confuses me tho - the recent change that gold order weapons arent limited to 4 guns because of those loot boxes, combined with the new Battlepass this seems like a very weird decision
Also why are they even changing the BP?
I haven’t seen a single complaint about the BP.
They should focus on what the players actually want!

man we get 1 good bp and it immediately get replace by this new one it sad tbh (for context the yesterday bp was the one with 3 weapon GO something that has never happen before cause usually it 2 weapon GO or vehicle GO)
cause they would be tripling gold income for f2p players. that would mean that f2p players could get BP in ~10 months.

already got those tbh the only one i havent got is the building one cause i cant find a safe spot for it (or enemy just dont spawn plane for some reason)
I feel like they didn’t think this through, shortening the BP, and when they finally did, they decided to axe the F2P gold instead of finding another solution.

well there was thought behind it… it made BP actually better prospect for those who buy it, but worthless for those who dont. it is kinda telling f2p players to loosen their wallets for more rewards.

This free gold was really good. I remember how I saved it up to buy cool skins and decals for all the end tier tanks. They should definitely bring this back.

Even with saving the gold from the BP I was able to afford 2 extra squads slot and I was proud of the effort I put in now the literally acting to get more by forcing F2P to be whale.
