All of the new APC trucks should come with covers on the back similar to what was shown for the German one. Since their main purpose is to just quickly move people to the front and act as rally points, I think people shooting from the back of one should also be disabled.
Passengers shooting from the truck can draw unwanted attention when you’re trying to flank. They also get shot back at by bots and die quickly. And it’s pretty difficult to shoot some of the trucks when you can’t aim down for instance
It would also look a lot less awkward when people spawn on the back of one. Would make the game a bit more realistic when people can’t see squads appearing out of thin air on the back one

Yes, it’s a map object, but it comes from a time when there were no plans for APCs.
I still think it would be a good option, better than what we have now.
Also, the developers modify the maps frequently, they might remove the trucks if their presence is a problem in any way.
I think it’s fine for APCs to have an open top, it allows the troops inside the ability to fire while balancing that they are vulnerable
I do think they should just remove those transport trucks around the map, no one uses them anyway, and they be reimplemented as APCs preferably in the research tree
