Give AA and AT guns a crew

Currently manning an AA or AT is boring, unproductive and a waste of time.

AA guns and AT guns should come with their own AI crew that will operate the gun when no players will man the gun.

Any Player on the friendly team can operate the gun as they can currently today.

When a player is manning the gun the engineer who built it gets eng credit like with any fortifications

When no player is operating the gun then the AI crew takes over.

When the AI crew is manning the gun the engineer who built it gets full credit and XP for any kills earned.

The AI gun crews will only target Planes for AA or Tanks for AT

Of course having a halfway decent AI is always a plus but would still be better than having the gun sitting empty

I would NEVER give something as powerful in the hands of bots. (That’s how machines will take over the world…)

Imagine a smart engineer building some AT at the extremity of a map, behind trees nd bushes, knowing bots sometimes acts as terminators and headshot snipe after a 180 turn. Now they’d shoot shells. He shells as well… Hell no.

Because then, ppl would ask for bot controlled tank main guns (same as AT gun) and they’d zero in enemy tanks even on the move while the tank is falling down a ravine upside down, and ammo rack it.

If you build a AT gun, use it. But don’t expect bots to give you xp with it while you hide in a corner.

AA bots in that mode delete you from across the map, sometimes right when you spawn.

Ok well if you are so fearful of bots then give them stats/perks that will make them less accurate and only let them fire AP ammo.

The point is not to hide … being fearful seems to be your thing … The point is to allow your engineers to move on to capture points and build other forts that aren’t as boring or unproductive as manning a gun…

I don’t sit on a gun unless there’s a target that I know is approaching for it.

I build a gun close enough to where I’m fighting out of so that if I spot a tank coming down the road, or a plane starts coming in, it’s close enough that I can run over and man it with a minimum waste of time.

Bot discrimination is a thing … from one player they are called worthless and dumb and from others the thought of bots leave them quaking in fear …

Bots are either at a 0 or a 100 depending on if they decide to aggro or not.

AT bots won’t miss but realistically probably won’t pen either.

AA bots are going to be accurate and aggressive at a much longer range than players, provided they shoot.

Both we’ve seen in war thunder.

I would like to use an AT gun in the same way. I place the gun on a likely tank vehicle Ave of approach and then move on to cap / defend the point.

If another player wants to man it fine … If not the AI crew might still get lucky. In WT ship AI gunners are leveled as the crew is leveled …

No such mechanic at this point in enlisted. Should be pretty easy to keep them from being OP …

About OP, I don’t think that AT and AA guns should have an AI. But maybe make AI assist in the shooting. So when you build 2 AA guns, one can be crewed by your AI squadmates and they will fire “in the same place” you do with your gun.
About MG nest, I guess it will fine but only tests can tell.

id rather a loader slot on the AA gun and the ability to reload the engineer turrets. they say to move to the reload spot on the map, refuses to show it, and gives no way to bring ammo to it even if u do find and get to it
