Giant Conquest Mode

Conquest is a very controversial mode. Some like it, others don’t. I’ve had some intense matches. Now I think this mode should stay so we have this neat little skirmish mode. But I do think the core of this mode has potential. I think a much larger Conquest mode would give us a large sandbox battle and would be a cool mode

This giant Conquest mode would cover the whole entire map and basically have every single objective. There would effectively be no gray zone. Engineer building would be especially important considering the vast size of the map. Rally points, Ammo, even tank traps would be useful for blocking certain paths. Transport vehicles would also be important, perhaps transport vehicles could act as mobile rally points. Plus the long awaited new vehicle type that’s been in the Road Map could be half tracks or personal carriers which I believe could act as mobile rally points even under combat.

Team sizes would have to be increased, double or even tripled, maybe even more. So for example, if teams were doubled with a full team you would have 12 infantry, 4 tanks, and 4 planes, and so on and so fourth. If team sizes were increased what size do you think would be cool

Personally, I don’t care for the conquest mode as a whole, big or small.

Its like battlefield conquest. I wasn’t a huge fan.

I really don’t like how it divides teams to different objectives with very little coordination. That really is just more annoying than anything.
I prefer game-modes that encourage teamwork and coordination.

If they made a massive, multi-stage version of invasion mode, I could get behind that, but definitely NOT conquest.

One of the great things about the game is the Squad system since we’re all running around with our own little team. The problem with Battlefield is you’re literally just one soldier, When I played Battlefield I tried to play a little immersively and occasionally defended flags for the team, but I’m literally just one soldier. It’s basically futile

With this game a single player can defend a point because a single player can have basically 10 soldiers at his side. A single player can have an Engineer team and build a whole defensive nest

This game may not have true coordination but you can basically ad hoc it. For example, when I play as a tanks I pay attention to the map and flow of battle and will charge along groups of infantry. Or when I play as Medics I follow Squads to heal them or stick with specific squads like Engineers or Snipers. Or I watch the flow of battle and plan my movements, like if I see some of my team flanking from one direction I’ll flank from the opposite side. It’s not perfect but I play my way

I think such a mode could be tested, perhaps on the test server or maybe a modder could make it so we can see how it goes

And heck I think a Giant Invasion mode would also be cool

Alligator Creek in Pacific is currently largest conquest map in the game but its still stuck in the 3 cap format to the point that its better to just desert that map as it becomes a boring walking simulator even with rallies. Reich Chancellery is the best conquest map with 5 caps besides Manor despite being 3 is just designed like a mini confrontation.

Most of the playerbase in this game is already bad on teamwork with lots of plays still don’t build a single rally point.

For battlefield though it kind of worked out (at least in battlefield 4), as things like claymores and such actually had a fairly significant impact.
While I like the squad mode for Enlisted, it doesn’t fit the conquest mode very well IMO.

It’s not about having extra soldiers to run with you and switch to when you die, but rather about TEAMWORK being used to adapt and overcome situations. Running in with AI as the only backup is not my idea of fun.

I mean you have plenty of mines to lay in this game

Well that’s just a difference in perspective between all us different players. The reason why I like this game is because it has the atmosphere of a battle. Games like Hell Let Loose you’re basically a running simulator and you only occasionally have decently sized skirmishes. That’s why I say this game is a good mix between arcade and hardcore. It’s not too slow and it’s not too fast

When I play I get sucked into the atmosphere. Heck I even use the communication wheel to thank my AI does something cool like shooting an enemy that almost got me or getting a lot of kills or something

This offers alot of what you are talking about. Even if just a sneak peak. Have a go of:

Quick break down of features (there is alot more than this)

  • 40 v 40
  • full map no greyzone
  • buildable jeeps, Tank destroyers and Mobile AA guns
  • Mobile Rally point Trucks
  • Can build vehicle respawn points and resupply
  • unnerfed AA guns and other tweaks
  • Airfields

Mines in this game are nowhere even close to as effective as claymores in BF4.

Mainly because of the squads aspect. You lose a guy or even half a squad to mines, you still have some to work with.

In comparison, if you stepped on a claymore in BF4, you were respawning elsewhere and coming in again.

Enlisted Hamster powered server: bruh you gonna give me a stoke

AI pathfind: I am in danger

Campers: Sweet dreams are made for this

Players with brain: for god sakes build a god damn rally

Vehicle user: imagine walk and running in this walking simulator map?

I was about to recommend OP tried customs, this sounds amazing btw, shame I’m on Ps5 we can only play not launch such customs.

indeed.

i would love it too if it would have more points ( like the berlin one ) and would actually last longer than 10 minutes.

NO, I better quit the game than must play big conquest map

This game does have large maps but I don’t think they really fit into running simulator tier. Hell Let Loose is more of a game where you will literally be spending more time running and strategizing every footstep than in actual combat

The maps are large but they’re not too large. I’m sure there would always be plenty of action
