you see, i saw a few topics on this already but i guess its worth talking again since those are pretty old, the Germans dont have a regular variant of the Gewehr 98, only scope mounted and the War Mod, the Italians in the same tree have the M1891, so why not add the Gewehr 98? the British have the Smle, the Americans the M1903, the Russians have a lot of WW1 Variants, the Germans are the only ones really lacking a WW1 Rifle, we had the G88 but lets be real its not the same.

I’ve wanted this in the game for so long, we have a sniper and extended magazine version of the gun after all. so why no normal one, when everything needed is already modeled and animated? I’d love to have it as a normal TT gun simply for uniquness, even if it wouldn’t be altogether that exciting of a new addition.

same to be honest, i like to do WW1 weapons squads, so it would be a fun addition, or if they dont add that, add the Kar98b which is literally just removing the scope of the scoped G98, paint it a dark brown, change the sights for the pre war and done :I

I would absolutely love to have a proper Gewehr 98 in the game to go alongside the C96 and MP18. I’m not sure why the devs made the Gewehr 98 only one of two weapons in the entire German tech tree where you cannot remove the scope. I would love it even more if they included reissued WW1-era Stahlhelms as cosmetics for the Germans.

we have MP18s as a premium squad, and C96s as a sidearm, we even got the automatic version even if it was post war, plus we had the Gewehr 88 as a BP Gun in Moscow and in a few seasons ago, the Gewehr 98 war mod with 25 round mag, event gun. and a few others, but in general a TT Gewehr 98 would be quite nice
