The gew98 with the 25 round magazine is a very fun gun, but the lange visier sights do little justice to it(and actually act as a detriment tbh), and while looking for a sight picture of rollercoaster sights I happened upon this creature.
In WW1, they issued some 2.5x optics that attached directly to the sights of the Gew98 for low-light usage. It uses a highlighted triangle placed over the front sight for the “reticle” and looks like so(with overlaid watermarks, those aren’t part of the optic)
I think it’d be neat to offer a trench 98 with one of these for snipers. For funsies.
