Sometimes you have an advantage, sometimes disadvantage.
Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
Some of your teammates will be BR5, some will be BR4.
I really don’t get this fear of uptier unless it’s BR1 vs BR3.
No I either win or didn’t try enough - however if the unacceptable truth should be that I lost because I had no chance, I usually get angry.
I like to play as BR1 Panzer III J, because its so iconic - but facing BR3 completely ruins that experience.
I dont know, its just that I want to have at least a chance, worse gear is okay when its not too extreme.
BR1 vs BR3 is indeed painful but so many people tend to say “I was in Pz III J and I had to fight the enemy’s T-34”, disregarding the fact that their team also had a bunch of BR3 players and that T-34 was their only BR3 guy, for example.
It’s a 10v10 (ideally), not 1v1.

I don’t fear the BR I have won games when old BR system wasn’t what it is now where I had BR 3 line up in BR 5 game and won some matches. I wouldn’t want to go further into this as just not related to the topic here not trying to have another messy BR system change rant.
Then what would be the BR IV Semi Auto?

I highly suggest you try it.
Beretta 40 rounds + G43/ZH-29 + MG 34 75 rounds + flamer 41 + big mortar + Tiger H1 + Panther G + Me 410 + Bf 109 (BR4 version) / Fiat are more than capable of playing uptier, and when downtiered you’re simply unstoppable.

Don’t forget about Ju-188 and pfaust 100. Plus upcoming event MG is going to be BR4 as well.

Making things more annoying or slower is a nerf too.
It’s not much, but it means that the principal fire mode is not auto. Meaning that you need to do that for every soldier every time.
This means that not everyone will bother to → less volume of fire from bots in particular, more cases where esp. with higher recoil you only have the incentive to use auto in cqb.
Which takes like two seconds, just press firemode button and member switch button really fast in succession.
Its just stupid that you have to do that every time.
If you want to nerf the gun, do it properly not such arbitrary quality of life worsening.

Upon further inspections turns out just the american big mortar is BR4
For some reason Russian and German big mortars are BR5
(I never played mortars before so idk if that’s intended)
And the Japanese don’t get big mortar at all.
No it one shot to the body like the johnson riffle and have 10 round so it can’t be at br 3
The M2 is a 60mm mortar compared to 81mm of the Soviet and German mortars you listed. the American equivalent to those mortars is the M1, which the devs refuse to add for some reason. the M2 is really just the basic mortar but with a minor increase to splash damage, with it completely unable to kill tanks like the 81mm mortars (save for open tops obviously).

imho they should give all BR3 rifles clip reload, and give the G43(and the johnson M1941 if it could have one) bayonets.
Johnson (both the rifle and the LMG) could technically have one but it was hated, G43 couldn’t have one.
