Get rid of event squads. Reward us with copies of event weapons and copies of event-reward uniforms and emblems

Unlimited MKb 42(w)? Unlimited M2A1 carbine? Unlimited AS44 mod 5? Unlimited supressed erma and M3? Even ignoring GO, any of the event weapons are fuggin’ busted if you can just always buy them if you have one.

i don’t see how they’ll be OP, especially since most event weapons already have a comparable tech tree version.

• The mkb w will still be worse than same br stg 44s, and still very similar to mkb hs
• M2A1 spam is irrelevant given the fact regular soldiers can already use M2s
• MP 41rs are essentially slightly different stick mag ppsh-41. As with AS-44s
• The Conders, while unique, are hardly different from ppsh-41s in terms of functionality

GO weapons offer gimmicks and something new to tech trees, but otherwise aren’t completely bonkers.

That and Bigote’s idea is just for event weapons, not gold order ones- Which are noticeably equal at best, but usually worse.

Premium squads have some broken, unbalanced shit, but they’re seriously limited by squad numbers and AI behavior.

5-man LMG squads will never not be hilarious.

Frankly, I’m of the opinion we should have premium soldiers with fixed weaponry, increased exp gains when used, and the ability to be slotted into any existing unlockable squad. Giving premium soldiers a role not too disimilar with premium tanks in WT, who are ideal for leveling and training vehicle crews.

Yeah. Its so OP that people have a squad with one additional Tier 1 AT Rifle with worse pen values and a Charlton/ Kiwi Bren. I can already see the masses of posts that cry for nerfs of a squad most people dont even know they own.

You’d still be forced to, for example, make a decision on reducing the number of Charltons to make them equal to existing gunner squads, or keeping the 4 Charltons and adjusting what can be introduced to the squad.

Ehm Not really because there is no reason to unless you consider having another Tier 1 AT rifle or Tier 2 MG as OP?
They already have their own squad lineups so there should be no technical reason to remove a soldier.

I understand this concept and support it.

This way event squads can maintain their value past being a collectible that you most likely won’t use. It would increases their value in fact because if their cosmetics were transferable.

Example - The new Horn STG squad - I won’t use this squad. It’s weapons are decent but it’s not better than an STG 44 and it’s BR 5 so it will just sit in my squad screen. (What a waste) They do have nice uniforms though I’d love to use those elsewhere!

The only other way to do this would be make new event squads fully customizable and have full normal unit sizes.

Besides Paras and the Charleton mg squad (which I currently have in my lineup) I don’t use any other event squads.

There are many great uniforms and weapons stuck on some other squads that I’d like to move to my full sized squads.

I think this will future proof Event Squads so they don’t just sit there gathering dust and increase their value significantly.

Why DF should do this - More value in these squads means more players playing their events and happier playerbase because they can use their event weapons and uniforms elsewhere.
