Is it me as a newbie or the Germans are allways winning against the Soviets in low BR ? I dont have many matches into the game yet but out of the 50 Games i played as Germany i havent lost a single one to the Soviets sofar, while against the allies it is usually the one on the defense who wins.
Why the Soviets do this bad ? I was about to try them as my 3rd nation up to BR II after the Allies and Germans, but what i see from the German side is that they are just so easy to beat. Is it just their BR I-II Gear being this bad, or was i just lucky to have good teams stomping them non-stop, or some other issue is going on behind ?
Their higher BR stuff looks pretty cool, but im kind of hesitant to start them from my little experiance playing against them.
Between the Allies and the Germans I can confirm that. So it is just Germany is kind of Meta now and thats why it wins a lot ( i got around 70% WR with them now) & eventually Soviets will start to do well & worth picking up ?
Im just suspicious in this regard as in Warthunder both with the Germans and Russians we are trashing the US top BR in ground for years now.
No, it’s not even meta… really br 1 & 2 are very well balanced among factions. So well I honestly couldn’t say if one is better than another.
It’s just trends and they vary. For now, maybe axis goes well, but I predict, especially for br4 & 5, that Soviets will dominate as soon as the NKVD squad is unlocked for the playerbase.
Simply because players will want to try it and migrate.
They ain’t got many good players right now. Most matches are a complete toss up on if you’re gonna have a competent team or a completely braindead team. It’s rough
I did make some matches in low BR where I tried to use the Nagant revolver as much as possible for fun and giggles. Fun it was! (just not as effective)
I mean, I love me a MP40 or Beretta M1 but the PPS42 and 43 are probably better than any SMGs the Axis has for a while. But the Axis also has better LMGs so I guess that arguably cancels out lol.
It’s just a constant cycle lol. Today it’s “Allies suffer!” “Soviets suffer!”, tomorrow it’s “Germany suffers!!!”
I honestly recommend just playing with join any team, it’s fun, it’s more XP, and you won’t get totally stuck with a faction that will inevitably become the underdog at some point.

True. Also why I stopped at br2 and didn’t include br3, where Soviets get a lil broken… devs never corrected ppsh41box rifle grade dispersion, and they know about it (it’s called bias) there’s kv, and fantastic CAS, fighters and dp27 which is a great lmg after the Madsen.
As for br2, yes, Soviets have pps which are better… But axis can use pz3N, really good machines for br2. Mg13 is also a bit more serviceable than Madsen, so they do balance out well.
At last br, everyone only use SF rifles wich have been normalized among factions so… it’s a silly place
