Germany needs belt fed mgs

At the moment all nations have a 100round mg (Japan technically does it just fires 2 rounds at once, effectively making it a 50 round mg), except Germany. Also in the last few updates the additions for Germany have been quite lack luster.

Nuff said 100rounds mg34.

100 round mg42
If we can have the mg15 I see no reason we can’t have:

Ok maybe not considering it’s weight, but it was worth a shot.

I know all of these have been recommended before but its been a while so I had to bring it up.

  1. We already have MG34 with 75 rounds (MG34 Patronentrommel)
  2. German ammo belts (at least standard issue ones) were in sizes: 50, 100, 150, 200 etc.

But yes, some MGs with long belts would be nice.
Though I have doubts about their quality. I expect devs to go lazy way and just make numbers bigger on the stats card.

We can always add double (50rd) drum mg42 or 34

But the one you posted is most likely patronentrommel with 75 rounds, not 2x50.
Though maybe I don’t notice/know something.

After quick search, it seems that the one you are speaking about is Doppeltrommel 15 (D-T 15) designed for MG15 (as the name implies). It also holds 75 rounds and is the father of Patronentrommel 45 (PT34).
DT15 can’t fit on MG34 but PT34 can fit on MG15.

Though all this is info from a random blog I found so it may be wrong.

Random blog I linked you last time… Anyway after a quick search I did now to, yes they never existed, but… Some forum says the second drum can be overcharged with additional 25rd… I don’t know if is true however

Oh really? I found it independently so I guess a strike of luck?

These drums take half the screen and it’s really annoying

One day, we will be free from the 50-round drum and 75-round Paratrommel magazines, my brothers.

Fellow forum dwellers I present you the 3rd and last MG-34 prototype belt-fed obviously would be cool if this was also added but don’t see it being in techtree so guess GO but yes 100 round MG for Germany

One thing is for sure, belt fed MG 34 and 42 BETTER BE RESEARCH TREE. Premium, event, gold order, etc is fine for unique, rare, or special content…BUT STANDARD ISSUE should be research

I thought standard configurations were 50 and 250 with no inbetween.

Germany had non disintegrating metallic belts in 50 round segments that could be linked together.
So theoretically 100, 150 etc are all possible though from what I’ve read most common were 50, 200 and 250. I guess it’s because 50s are “nimble” while 200-250 ones are ideally suited for continuous fire as barrel change was meant to be done every 200-250 rounds.

It was a nice feature of Red Orchestra series. With a fresh barrel, mg fire was “sniper rifle accurate”. Then as you shot too much, it began to smoke, the firing sound changed and bullets started going out in a spray.
Changing barrel animation was really well implemented.

When I saw videos of RO2 for the first time, I got my socks blown off. So many cool mechanics and features!
It’s a shame other games don’t have such nice things. I guess development time is needed in other places like flashy graphics, skins and microtransactions

Just look at this! I wish enlisted had half of such cool stuff.
