Inferior to all BR2 smgs of other nations
Reloads way too slow for such high rof, it has bad recoil and dispersion on top of obscuring sights, it may be more useful with Assaulter IV and 2x reload speed perk i need to check it out.
One of the weakest smgs yes it’s good at the mid range but at close it’s completely useless. I would rather use bolt rifles or lmgs than that thing.
I played Germany for a while (now Allies).
Frankly I have no idea what you’re talking about. The Germans get the MP40, one of the best SMGs of WWII.
They also get the MP38 which is basically the same so you can unlock it earlier. I’m not sure if that rank III Beretta has been moved down to rank II yet.
I agree that the MP34 and MP28 arent great, especially against the Soviets.
But once youve got the MP40 its all good. Could we use some more BR II SMGs? I suppose.
But at the moment the faction that really needs help is the Allies. Do I play Allies? Yes. Is that relevant? Not really.
It is a fact Allies have crappy early weapons. I dont really consider them competent until BR III, with the exception of the Lee Enfield rifles.
Regarding SMGs Allies have M50 Reising (a literal Nerf gun),
M3 Grease gun (chug chug chug the ROF on that thing is painful and its also basically useless).
The Sten gun is good for room clearing and so forth but its got Play School sights and is obviously not designed for longer range.
Likewise the Owen gun, now as a room clearer its awesome but the sights are very annoying and awkward. Its also really not good for longer range shooting. (Im still waiting for proper jungle maps where we can use the Owen gun for the situations it was actually designed for and excelled at)
SIde note: I am well aware a sub machine gun is not a ‘long range’ weapon. What I mean is good SMGs work for both very close quarter combat like room clearing AND for when enemies are further away (the MP40 is good at this).
The Lanchester is revered and praised a lot, for what its worth its a good SMG, but its ultimately a glorified MP28. The German rank 1 SMG. It works… but its not that great and takes a lot of bullets to get the job done compared to the MP28 or BR III Thompson.
Same goes for the VB and Bren guns, theyre alright, but no where near the level of all the other nations LMGs, plus theyve all got super annoying top mounted magazines which stuffs up your sights (the VB probably has the worst sights in game and the real gun wasnt even like that).
Kiraly is a beast, is literally one of my favorite smgs in the game, but BR 3 really? 4 is fine though. As far as good low tier smgs for germany, mp40, beretta m1, ovp and beretta m1918 are all really solid choices. I prefer the beretta m1 over the mp40 and again the beretta m1918 over the ovp.
So what? Everything isn’t equal at every BR and somebody has to be worst - why not Germany?
Germany does get the best br 2 tank, semi auto, and lmg so i dont think them having slightly worse smgs is that bad. They could improve the firerate of fnab 43 and beretta to match their historical counterparts and nerf the dispersion of russian smgs but i am highly against downtiering everything. Having 40 round berettas, kiralys and mp 35s in low br abusing new players doesnt sound fun to me
PPS42/43 definitely belong in BR2, same as MP38/40 lol

Whaaaat. The MP40 and M1 are the best BR II SMGs in the game. Very controllable.
no it is not. pps42 is inferior to mp40 in bullet spread and damage drop, lanchester has huge gorisontal random recoil. both have lesser damage even while lanchester is 9mm too. They are not better or worse, just different. All of them has strong qualities and weak sides. If you wanna play clone shooter try TF2. RN mp-40 is a best allpurpose 2BR smg in the game.
yeah check it out. tactical reload with 1918 is superfast with fast reload perk. 1918 is the one of the best smg in 2 BR rn. I use them a lot.
lmao weakest in term of raw TTK. use beretta 1918 then. FNAB is good for most players. It is universal like mp-40 and more comfy bigger mag and nice hipfire.

Really? I love the MP40 and M1. I have never had a problem squad wiping in CQB with either of them. I have all BR II SMGs on Russia and US/Brit unlocked and max rank. Germans are by far my favorite.
Are you on PC or Console? Maybe you just need to put your trypants on 
? PPSh box has 2-3 times less bullet dispersion than the 2nd most accurate smg.
