I don’t think so. Allies have things like the P47 and the BAR. I see what you said, how the carbine can be countered by the FG42, and the P47 can be countered by the BF 110. But really, the P47 can counter almost any infantry, ground vehicle, plane from my experience. And the BAR is a great gun, it can counter almost any Axis weapon, just as the FG42 can counter almost any Allied weapon. The Browning M1919A6 is another great Allied gun. And don’t forget the devastating colossus that is the M4A3E2 Jumbo, I find it very hard to counter as the Axis. Overall, each side has some weapons that are better than others in certain scenarios, but I think that is what I would expect.

Normandy was the most balanced campaign in terms of player base, though I guess Axis are dominating a bit more at the moment, judging by the amount of people complaining about Normandy Axis. Not sure which campaign has taken the “most balanced playerbase” mantle at the moment, I guess Berlin since I imagine the Normandy Allies players have left to enjoy even more PVE in Tunisia than there already was. Moscow and Stalingrad are for sure allies stompfests.
In terms of gear, both sides of Normandy have great gear.

i was thinking of the 37mm with that belt since that default is AP-HE (it’s APCR-HE if you want to be technically correct) with the actual ammo for the 30mm is HE-Incendiaries

Yes, but has barely any infantry killing power. Meanwhile the Axis get a plane with incredibly potent infantry killing power, and can kill any Allied tank with enough skill at level 4.

thompsons and m2 carbine suck cause of sights. they need redesign ASAP. and most of the maps are on relatively open terrain so germans have advantage most of the time.
and still biggest problem is playerbase where you have 2-3 players that can somewhat play on ally side and rest are bots and shitty console players. and on german side on average you have 5 maxed out marshals.
also one other problem is some terrible maps. airfield, d-day and ver su mer suck for allies, la perelle sucks cause of steamroll (and lots of open field make planes OP on this map).
you are obviously playing on NA, cause on EU axis has double or triple playerbase of allies on normandy.

i know it can go through the top part of the m4a1 hull and of course the open tops but i think that stuart and jumbo’s armor too thick for most reasonable (non suicidal) attack angle
it can got through that weird hull armor spot on the m4a1 (came to me as a surprise when a 110 did it to me)
