I might be wrong but is it normal that every german weapon is superior in stats ( in terms of recoil , mag size , damage… ) compared to US , and even russians ?
the m3 grease is superior to the mp34
Yes, you are wrong.
They are inferior in a lot of stats. Go read over them again.
Could you give me exemples ?
There’s only a few german weapons that stand out by being better than the rest.
But the majority of them are meh, I’d rather take weapons from other nations.
Definitely feels like early on the Allies have the superior weapons, (Bolts, M3 Grease etc.) But mid to late progression the Axis have such an advantage in terms of weaponry. FG 42 standard and scoped, gewehr, mg 42 etc.
I’m not gonna lie lets take the MG 34 and MG 42 compared to the browning1819A1/2 , both german LMG have better mag size and less recoil ( about 3 more horizontal for -15 on vertical ).
Or the BREDA vs the BREN , clearly the 30 rounds is a good deal but look at the iron sight …
And the FG 42 sniper variant with 20 round mag , 1 shot potential on full auto what do we have to match this ? and the trooper versiion it has the one shot potential with 12 dmg compared to 7.3 for M2 carbine, with less recoil
I think OP was taking late-campaign weapons into account as well
But I do disagree that German weapons are better than the Russian ones, they are only a little bit better than the American ones, that’s why I suggest that Germans should have less semi-automatic guns available
I was relating to US weapons mainly i havent played russian vs german campaign yet
Can you copy/paste stats that you are talking about?
I forgot to underline the full-auto mode on sniper FG42 that has a scope, and one hit potentiel.
Yeah when you see it laid out like this there is no argument.
I just un locked the FG, and in full auto it has crazy vertical recoil.
FG42 sniper model only gets 40 bullets, aka 2 magazines. Going full auto drains your ammo immediately.
Also, try comparing recoil per second instead of recoil per shot. Due to the higher rate of fire, there are more shots that get fired, which generate more recoil. The BAR also gets faster reload and higher bullet velocity
The M1/M2 Carbines both have too high recoil. That’s a separate issue. You should compare the M2 Carbine to SMGs instead of LMGs, however.
Just out of curiosity, how does the more common guns such as smg’s & rifles compare ?
And do please go try how OP german equipment are compared to USSR stalinium made ones.
I picked it up once and i tried it was controlable i guess it’s just not recommended with the scope , but you can still rush full auto in buildings as a marksmanm , whereas the US only have 8 round semi auto with less firerate
He is comparing it in terms of progression. The FG-42 does have justifyingly high recoil. However the gun is a monster in controlled bursts of shots. The scope is just the cherry on the cake. Even the allies BAR doesnt come with an optic.
The garand has 8 + 3 clips ( 8 + 24 ) still more ammo on the FG 42 … if you only semi auto you have 12 more per mags …
