Why doesn’t the German tanker hold his pistol on menu?

Due to (lack of) animation models. One of the Beretta pistols does have a menu animation.
It is not related to tankers only.

I think the Enfield or Webley revolver also shows up in tankers/pilots hands, though I can’t be sure. They probably added the animations with the release of Tunisia, but then never added it retroactively to anything else.

such animations do exists for the menu.
and do appear occasionally.
( it’s how i make some of my contest screenshots )
as to why, it’s because some weapons were not coded to have said animations in the menu.
others overwrites a specific set of weapons. ( which yes… all weapons are manually given animations and what not.

From the pistols for Germany, animations have: PP and PPK, Beretta 1934 (i.e. starter pistols) and event/BP pistols (Arty Luger (helps the fact that it was originally main slot), Schnellfeuer).

I wish they would have taken the c96 in their hand too, that weapon is very symbolic.
