My childhood was literally the early 2000’s-2010’s so I can’t really say much. I only just became a full fledged adult last year with a license to drink and everything. Lol

It took me way too long to get into history. Wasn’t till about 5th or 6th grade I finally started doing “ok” in Social Studies, and before then I sucked because I could never memorize any of the information needed for the tests
Then in 7th grade all of a sudden I just kinda…knew everything? I just suddenly had an interest and could memorize every detail (except dates which I still struggle with to this day. Can tell you everything that happened, but can’t tell you when) and ace every test. And my interest evolved into an obsession. First I thought modern warfare was boring. Just point a gun at the enemy and fire. Medieval warfare was there it was at. Training all your life to use a weapon to its full potential
Then I got into firearms, and then I got into modern warfare, and now here I am obsessed with BAR’s and 30-06 and .50 BMG and 1911’s. Lol
I just mean I turned 21 and can legally consume alcohol

Where I live, it’s normal for parents to give their children beer from the age of ten onwards from time to time.
It’s quite a mystery, that I never became an alcoholic.

Poor USA… everywhere else is 18, except France kids who drink a bit of red wine in lil school 
I was a mix of the quiet kid, annoying kid, and smart kid. I knew the answers to the questions in class. I didn’t talk to anyone much. Dang it did I talk to myself a lot though. Lol

Well, just about every American kid goes to some sort of party or something and does some underaged drinking. Very very few far as I can tell reach 21 without having had at least one beer. As I said, alcohol has absolutely 0 appeal to me so I never did, but most do

Yeah no point to it that I can see unless you’re using it as a coping mechanism cause you can’t deal with your life. Way back when was different cause drinking water would literally kill you and the nobles liked you fat, lazy, and content so you couldn’t rebel. I’d rather not rely on a substance to get me through my life
