Huh, here I was thinkint the Pz-IIIE is a much better option than the BT-7 as it has more crew, and better armor piercing rounds. Weird.
Pz-III is just fine. Shall we talk about the PZ-II being bettert han the T-60?
Yes the second Pz3 you unlock E think it’s is, is a beast I’ve only had trouble with the anti tank armoured car the Soviets have, but only if he shoots me first.

To kill T-60 Shoot the gunner. Only has 2 crew, you kill the gunner the tank can only move or shoot.
There is a green spot in the T-60 turret you can penetrate. If you penetrate that you kill the gunner and the driver needs to jump to the gunner seat in which case you kill it again with same shoot or he needs to retreat

37mm versus 45mm. If the Russian shoots first, anywhere on your tank, then he wins. If you shoot first, then you had better hit their gunner on the first go, otherwise you’re as good as dead. It’s made me very good at aiming, but it’s infuriating that the other guy doesn’t even have to be particularly good in order to win the engagement.
The Ausf. B was never used in Russia, and the more common production variants armed with a 50mm main gun (which actually saw service during Barbarossa), are totally absent from the campaign for some inexplicable reason. I guess that’s to give the Soviets a leg-up? I cannot see any other legitimate reason for their choices.

Panzer 3 is a great tank. The one with less armor requires angling and surprise attacks but the one with armour can easily take on multiple t60s without a care. Bt7 I’d say is mostly superior however it comes down to who shoots most accurately first. The 37 is no 45 but if you hit the right spot, often one shots anything through the front armor.
Two words: Git gud
In more words:
Panzer III E is immune against T-60’s (most common enemy tank)
Dual MG’s means you can wipe out entire squads due to double fire rate - plus they won’t have a chance to be missed and escape between two bullets
Main gun is perfectly capable of dealing with all opposing tanks from all angles (since combat usually happens at short range)
Avoid Pz.III B because it’s both bigger and worse armored than the Pz.II C (still gets dual MG which is a blessing)
Positioning is important (angle your tank, use cover and concealment, keep your infantry between enemy infantry and your tank, etc)

I sometimes pull such games as well with the III B but that doesn’t make it a good tank by far(especially because the amount of bots/players not knowing how to deal with vehicles are still at large).
The Pz III B is worse than the II just for the fact that if you miss the enemy gunner because of: bad skill, dispersion or Bull armor models, you still get 9 extra shots with the II and get fucked with the III.
The armor isn’t an upgrade and even angling your armor does barely anything to stop even 20mm tshk.
Also angling the turret isn’t an option with 5/s turret rotation which is also a negative that has led to my death many times since I couldn’t get my gun on target in time even when I had an advantages front to front engagement.
Pz III B however does have the driver slot you can take advantage of in the T-60 and way more ammo as well as 2 extra crewmembers(which you need to survive any engagement with a T-60).
Still use it because I like the extra ammo and I love hunting tanks and low flying aircraft.

This is pointed towards anyone that says the III B is fine, I just used Duncan since he was the closest “Git guT” comment that I had.
Skip the B entirely. You’ll live a less stressful life if you do

So? I’ve had 115 kills with the BT-7, and more than 10 tanks destroyed in one match. One person being good with something does not invalidate balance concerns.

Almost at the III E, then I can finally take revenge on those damn T-60’s.
Don’t even bother with the B, it’ll be penned by any form of AT weapon in the game.
The E however is capable of some pretty good feats, its immune to the T-60 but its penetration pales in comparison to the panzer 38t F.
The 50mm armored and armed Panzer 3’s are conspicuously ‘missing’ xaxaxaxa.

Most Soviet players use T-60 and that is a big advantage for anyone bringing III E. I don’t play tanks often but the last time I used the III E, I killed 6 of their tanks before they decided to use two tanks to flank me and destroy my tracks. Still managed to destroy one of the tanks before I bailed out. They couldn’t destroy even the stationary tank.
Skipping III B is totally worth it.
