General poll: Should explosion packs only be able to be placed on a atnk?

In HLL you place a satchel charge on a tank and around 30 seconds later - boom

Why not make it so in enlisted you have to place an explosion pack ON a tank. This would make something like dedicated AT more useful, make it so you cant spam a nuclear grenade on infantry.

And said with that add DEDICATED AT grenades, that will mostly disable tanks, unless aimed very carefully. Depends on the grenade and the explosion spot. Something like grenade bundles for germans and soviets would fit well.

What do you think?

Honestly i think the explosion packs are okay as they are in terms of how you use them against tanks.

Tanks can easily wipe a team therefor they need to be easy to kill.

But since theyre easy to kill tankers are encouraged to stay in the gray zone

But there would be no way a tank could protect from satchel charge

Currently a tank cant avoid a good player with explo pack but its not just like take out, cook and forget about the tank. You will have to be in a 5 sec animation, where you can be easily shot by infantry, and the tanks allies can rip the satchel off since it will have a fuse of around 20 seconds

20 seconds is a bit excessive dont you think?

Imo it’s a good idea. Regular infantry will have high risk high reward AT weapon. At the same time it won’t be a straight up upgrade from a hand grenade.

specific AT grenades that barely harms infantry is fine. Anything beyond that is just unnecessary buff to tanks.

Just reduce the kill radius of a det pack with a concussion radius, and make the kill radius 1-1.5 m. Problem solved.

this is the only conversation that should be happening regarding explosion packs. People asking for AT packs to be nerfed against tanks are total shitters.

Think they should reduce the distance to throw it significantly (well not that) but still and make it heavier to carry which will result in slower movement for you soldier

Nah, the det pack is 1kg, most rifles are around 4-5 kg, so those things are fine as they are right now. The only acceptable nerf to it would be strictly infantry damage. Anything that affects its performance against tanks would fundamentally change the game, and probably for the worse.

reduce inf damage to tnt or whatever that one is to me will goof the game up to be blend though. If that thing can take out an tank with its mass then it certainly should blow the head of the infantry close to it ^^

It won’t deviate too much from realism, especially if they add the concussion effect like I suggested. being too close to a raw explosive is dangerous, but most of the time people die to the shrapnel of the explosive, so it makes sense that frag grenades are more effective against infantry than a raw explosive.

Thats why frag grenade should be longer throwing distance to add up for that and could perhaps have larger shrapnel radius. But yeah messing up the throwing might be bad to with TNT since you want to be able to get some of the dark zone campers sometimes

Frags already do have more range than Explosive Packs, but there is little point to using them as they have effectively the same kill radius.

I think the throwing range and accuracy should be reduced, but that is it.
