Hello everyone. So I have two versions of this suggestion, which are similar, but different. Allow me to explain.
Arcade Battles Version 1:
So understandably, there are occasions where one side seems to win over the other very often. While reasons vary depending on the campaign used, that’s not what we are discussing. What we are discussing is a possible compromise between the two: Why not have Arcade Battles, where both axis and allies fight axis and allies? This is inspired from the arcade battles in War Thunder. The mode would generally be similar to the battles we have now, but are instead focused on quicker matches like conquest, destruction, or similar. This would also be a nice casual mode compared to the standard game mode we have now. I know back in WT, generally speaking, players seeking casual play may choose arcade battles, while players seeking intense competition may choose realistic battles.
On a personal note, I don’t think the reward/progression values should be changed in this mode as it’s simply allowing Allies and Axis vs Allies and Axis rather than changing vehicle mechanics like in War Thunder.
The following is what makes Version 1 distinct from Version 2:
This is the general idea. In addition, like War Thunder arcade where all nations play each other, perhaps also allow players from other campaigns to play against each other in the mode, as well as maps from all the campaigns.
However, understandably, some may not like this option. If that is the case, but still like the idea arcade battles, then the next version is for you:
Arcade Battles Version 2:
Similar to the first version, this would allow allies and axis to play against allies and axis. However, this would only allow players playing the same campaign to play against each other. And as such, only maps from the appropriate campaign will be selected by the matchmaker. Also like the first version, this mode would be focused on casual, faster matches.
P.S. If you like or dislike the idea, please specify of you mean version 1, version 2, or both to avoid confusion. Thank you.
