Game Suggestion - Reserves

So, I’ve been mulling a few things over for a while and had an idea.

Since this game lacks a match and mode voting system for the game launch I can imagine for F2P players it can at times be challenging to setup a 3 Squad system that really fits all maps. Even with premium you get one more infantry but that can hamper you somewhat.
(Watching my wife play for instance really makes me see this moreso).

What I think would work is you have your set squads that you’ve chosen to launch the game with, and then you have the rest or at least part of the rest of the squads you own in a ‘reserve’. You are allowed to, after either a set period of time or deaths, make up to (lets call it 3) swaps to bring one from the reserve into Active, and then the one in active gets put into reserve (but no longer usable for the rest of the match, or a set period of time, I’m open to suggestions on this). Of course standard rules still apply, you can exceed the number of vehicles / infantry squads normally allowed at the time.

This way, it allows a player who is basically going in blind to the map and mode he is getting in game, to swap a few squads out if needed. Say he equips all CQC and he is in a map that has too many open spaces. He can then pull from his reserve to get a unit that is better suited to the environment he is playing in.

Now, that I think would be a nice bonus for the F2P players. Basically in essence giving them more to use even though their initial slots are limited.

And throwing ideas at the wall, for the Premium Players and those with 10 slots, maybe make it so your Premium squads fill your reserves and that is where you can pull them from, but not regular squads. (again, subject to some debate, because you can’t give something to one party , i.e. F2P without some kind of addition to the paying player, otherwise you’ll have a riot).

Anywho, thanks for reading. That was my musing/suggestion for the month. I’ll go back to Sword Charging American infantry lines now.

Like the idea.

I have thought along these lines too, but I came to the conclusion that it does not fit with their business model.

They want players to buy premium (and maybe, like in my case, buy one or three extra slots).

That’s why I added the spot at then end for Premium users. Encourages them to pickup that squad knowing it would be usable as a reserve, thus increasing (potentially) revenue.
