Hmm, yes. The planting, and defending till detonate can be fun. More fun than just capture points. For me of course, so i will be happy if this function can be implemented

They could make a version of assault where you have to blow up the objectives to proceed. They could give the opposing team objectives also, like destroying a bridge, which forces the assaulting team to drive their vehicles the long way around to a ford, and could also give the defenders an ambush area.
It really needs more strategic and dynamic game modes.
