G0 German sniper 'unit'

How did the German soldiers use ghillie suits during World War II? - Quora
The V3 is a rare experimental prototype sniper rifle made by Waffenfabrik Bern of Switzerland. This rifle would lead to the development of the ZfK sniper series, specifically the ZfK 42&43. This rifle is essentially a ZfK 31/41 as it was made prior to the official 42 and 43. It is estimated only 3 models were ever produced. The Swiss used some K31 components to see if a much more modern scope mounting system on the K31 carbines could enhance the rifle platform into a sniper system. The rifle would make use of K31 magazines and charger clips and of course the plentiful GP11 / 7.5Ă—55 Swiss cartridge. Manual of operation is the same as a K31 rifle which would be a key factor for the development of the ZfK sniper series. The design was a success and the ZfK 31/42 succeeded it and would be imporved in the coming years leading to the final ZfK 55 sniper rifle.

The Sniper’s Badge (German: Scharfschützenabzeichen) was a World War II German military decoration awarded to snipers. It was instituted on 20 August 1944.[1] Initially, only personnel serving in the German Army and the Waffen-SS were eligible.[1] Later, by order of the High Command, it was also made available to snipers of the other armed services.[1]

The sniper’s badge had three grades:

  • Third class (no cord) for 20 enemy kills[2]
  • Second class (with silver cord) for 40 enemy kills[2]
  • First class (with gold cord) for 60 enemy kills[2]

The enemy kills were counted from 1 September 1944. Close quarter kills made were not to be taken into account. Every enemy kill had to be confirmed by witnesses and reported to the unit.

  • Matthäus Hetzenauer

An Austrian sniper in the Wehrmacht who served on the Eastern Front. He had 345 confirmed kills, but his estimated kills are much higher. He received the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross in 1945.

  • Josef “Sepp” Allerberger

A top-scoring sniper in the Wermacht who started his career using a captured Mosin-Nagant rifle. He and Hetzenauer were responsible for about 600 kills.

When put in a unit would be able to operate with only a spotter making it into a stealth sniper unit. yeah a lot of people want this and it could make GO’s a lot more valuable.
Finally managed to make my dream German Sniper outfit (still really want that "Hockey style" Mask that is in the Combined arms) : r/BattlefieldCosmetics
Sniper units were small stealthy units unlike riflemen/assault/mg squads. while good for experienced players making tech tree units of 3 or under with all sniper rifles will be very bad as some will be op while others will just suck.

the ability to build a sniper blind if the sniper unit instead includes an engineer. this structure would provide cover from view where otherwise none would be available.
