Hey guys! Long time fan of the Eastern Front side of the game and main the Soviets.
Was thinking I’d start a spitball and fun conversation for future Eastern Front maps that will hopefully come sometime after the Ardennes update, or at least I hope!
Operation Silver Fox(White Sea) - Battles in the Arctic circle and the city of Murmansk. Would be super cool to have Finnish fishing villages, the streets of Murmansk and Boreal Forest maps. Also, “White Sea” was in the dev files a while ago, hinting this was going to be a campaign.
Some others worth considering imo:
Siege of Leningrad
Battle of Budapest
Khalkhin Gol
Soviet Invasion of Manchuria
Battle of Kursk
Maps for the USSR vs Japanese would diversify the gameplay and map selection for both Soviet and Japanese mains.
Leningrad and Kursk are a must for the Eastern Front imho.
I’d also love to see Khalkhin Gol added eventually, so the Japanese could get more diversity.
If we wanted to expand our horizons past the USSR, I think Burma is really a necessity too, and I would also love to see the Sino-Japanese war portrayed in the game too, but I know that’s probably a longshot.
Why no one is talkin about belarus and baltic states ?
They are way better options
they are realitevly less popular
mostly open ground battlefield. Im tired of fighting in urban maps at high br
thei maps are reuseable. Both places saw combat in early and late stages of war
Or
Why not any major engagement from western ukraine like khorsun cherkassy pocket or battle of dubno
Difficult to implement.
Germans either get BR 4-5 with Panthers and Tigers like they had irl, but the Soviets didn’t have IS 1 or 2 yet.
Even Pz IV J from BR3 would again be weird.
Maybe Operation Bagration instead.
Full BR 4-5 for both sides.
Yes! A Map pack/campaign added to the Northern Pacific region would be very cool both aesthetically and for interesting history. Like you said too, would give the Japanese an enemy to fight other than the Americans.
