I know it is not important at the moment since the game is not fully developed and the mechanics are most of the priority but I would like to add my opinions. First of all, I am no one to sit here and voice my opinion on a game I just picked up a couple days ago but if you here me out, I have a great many things to say which, in my opinion, are the best ways to make Enlisted the greatest historical first person shooter ever.
I’ve seen time and time again, potential for great and successful World War 2 games flop hard because of inaccuracies and lack of rich historical content or just fade into boardom with a “sufficient” amount of said content. It sickens me that this is a repeated cycle with any AAA game or small budget first person shooters developed on lesser known software (although AAA games I can understand to a point). Regardless, there needs to be a way that Enlisted does not become one of those lost to the graveyard of sufficiency and “sub-par” content.
WW2 is a vast and destructive war which millions of lives were lost. This idea cannot be an abstraction in which Enlisted might do if continued down the path of other video games. There were a multitude of different way to fight that war. Different fronts, different countries, different warfare, tactics, weaponry, etc. Enlisted has already put in so much effort into detailing the all the major factions with different weaponry uniforms and units in which to fight under. This obvious focal point of development shows that you, the team at Enlisted, have the potential to make this game enormous. The untapped potentially, I urge you, not to waste it.
There needs to be different major conflicts of the war that are more focused on in different countries like Campaign in Africa, other major advances of the axis forces into the Soviet Union in 1941-1943. Have the other major and minor axis forces be playable. Let their be an Invasion of France 1940 and Invasion for Poland 1939, the literal start of the war. Maybe invasion of Norway, Denmark and Winter War; Scandinavian front. (although Finland not technically Scandinavian). Different unique and playable units like the Spanish Blue Division, at least 1 SS unit (since you guys added NKVD unit), any British commonwealth units including non-royal territories like Poland and France, 185th Italian Paras, never before seen in any WW2 FPS.
Please I beg if you, do not let this potential go to waste.

Dear Military Historian,
All of this has been already suggested too many times to count … And you left out Japan and the Pacific theater

First, welcome to our community!
Second, thanks for your perspective; to call WWII’s effects far-reaching and devastating would be a gross understatement. You could pick almost any nation outside the Americas, and find some armed international conflict there during that six-year period.
With regard to the campaigns being introduced, we will have a campaign in North Africa coming up soon, which you can see in the “Change Campaign” window. It’s just not accessible to us, yet. It’d be interesting (for lack of a better term) to see the Winter War represented, but with the Moscow campaign already having a lot of Winter content, I think most players would, after a time, think, “Great, more Winter maps,” and move on. The historical context would be lost, because there’s no story mode in this game.
Perhaps another way of thinking of it would be, how can the developers, using their limited resources, create a diversity of environments from WWII that help players not only enjoy and support the game, but also to help players, if even for a moment, to think, “I’d never want to experience this for real. I can’t imagine what this was like.”
If the developers can pull off that last bit, then that’s honestly more important than any locales used.

Here Here!! If the devs need help with pics and measurements for the uniforms and insignia, ect. just reach out to us for that data we will happily comply. I wish that all sides could earn medals for deeds in combat. We can already earn rank!

I don’t think a wide variety of units/theaters will make up for it being a manic arcade shooter with awful historicity in the first place.

You expect way to much from a mostly arcade shooter with semi-realistic elements like Enlisted.
its much better to ask for the things you are asking in a game like Post Scriptum or Hell Let Loose.Games that actually focus on providing a Historically authentic experience based on the reality of WW2. Enlisted is just a chaotic arcade shooter with a WW2 skin on it.
Sadly, while less known campaigns are exciting to discover they most likely won’t attract enough players.
Right now the player base is already divided into 3 campaigns (soon 4)
I actually agree here, while I get that it would be impossible to expect too much, I would definitely like to see some of the other major parts of the war represented. Invasion of france would be awesome and there are the unit models in warthunder already for a lot of the content. All of these sort of games tend to be late war all the time and the variety will help keep Enlisted alive longer if it were to happen.
And while yes the player base is divided into 3 (soon 4) campaigns at any one time, I still play all of the campaigns and switch between them as I’m sure many people do, so its not like its a absolute divide in the player base. And with more countries represented, I am sure it will bring many players who want more games where they can play as their own nation like Italy and France in a WW2 game
I did, you are correct but I feel like if I mentioned it would have been too much as the conflict in the western hemisphere was already so much potential content enough. Another game would probably be needed for content in the east. Not that Enlisted couldn’t pull it off
