But it isn’t an LMG in real life, it was made as a do-it-all weapon for paratroopers. So it should be in a separate squad, I agree here, but there should be a paratrooper squad made specially for it, it shouldn’t be given to gunners.
ppl say lock fg 42 to gunners bcause it would be easier for the devs, since they would not have to make a new squad type with new mechanics
