Fun Enlisted fact that some of you might not be aware of

Everything in the game’s online store is up to x3 times as cheap if your :credit_card: / payment method is in roubles but the catch is that you can’t purchase anything as a gift if you have the previously mentioned.

Enjoy and have nice day ! :kissing_smiling_eyes:

The West is funding the war on both sides currently so I’m not sure that that would bother me too much, I am curious how I would get my card paid out in rubles though?

Stores (and prices) are region-specific, but I suspect that pretending to be from a different region to buy cheaper somehow goes against TOS and can get your account Gulag’d if caught.

The error message after trying to gift someone a pack specifically states that it cannot be done as long as it’s being purchased in roubles.

Please stop mentioning current ongoing conflict/s. This is not the place for that. Thank you very much !

Well, with or without mentioning conflicts, that’s most likely due to current “issues” with international payments channels.

Might be the case but one would certainly would appreciate a formal explanation as to why a he/she ( who uses rouble currency ) is not able to gift anything to a friend.

Price is almost the same, rub price counts as usd price x50. And as usd/rub exchange rate is about 55 or so now, it’s not a big advantage.

My price research was done somewhere between 20-30th of March after a friend offered to gift me a pack and as comparison I used the 30 USD/Euro Stalingrad pack and the difference was indeed almost 3 times. That + the fact that we both found out about gift restriction afterwards which led to some very, verry awkward following moments.

Yeah. So it’s kinda outdated now.

But yes, regional prices are usually lower than usd ones, what a surprise. And russian prices aren’t even the lowest ones usually, turkish or argentinian prices in steam are much lower.

To buy certain content on Amazon JP I needed to have a Japanese gift card, which necessitated a friend of mine in Japan purchasing a gift card for me then I could actually do the transaction in Japanese yen from a Japanese card.

I don’t know that this is all the same thing but that might be a way to do it if you were to purchase a cash card in rubles.

And I don’t even know if that’s actually legal at this juncture if you’re outside of Russia???
