I like playing engineers, and I like flanking to place spawn points.
Many times when my squad is wiped and I go back to the map to pick a new squad the squad selection overlay is covering where my spawn point is and I can’t selected it, however, when I run over to where I placed the point, it’s still there and other squads are spawning on it. I’m getting really frustrated with this.
Is there a way to hide the squad overlay or view the map/points somehow that I’m not aware?

there’s literlaly text telling you you can’t cause there are enemies there or that you have to wait for the cool down cause some one else spawned seconds ago
Yes I realize that, it grey’s out when enemies are near and the cooldown.
To be more clear, I’m talking about how the squad selection menu on the left of the map covers up (blurs) the map beneath it so you can’t see or select the spawn point.

There are places on map where you set rally point. But then you can’t select that rally as spawn. Because spawn camera looking at battlefield is set in such a way that squad selection UI covers said rally point.
So do you think this is a problem?
Kind of silly that the squad select overlay on the re-spawn map determines the strategy and flow of them game no?
Kind of makes more sense now why most players don’t work the left flank on Normandy, sometimes I can see them to them on the map to the left of the squad select, sometimes I can’t.
Yeah, I had a situation couple of times where I was wondering “why no-one is respawning on my rally?”. Then my squad died and I understood why.
Weird, I’ve noticed that as well, plunk down a prime point and nobody uses it…
This really needs a fix, just make it like Battlefield, choose your squad, next, choose your point.
How hard is that?
Agreed, a dropdown menu would be ideal, select a squad the menu goes up, select it again (or hover) and it shows up, allowing you to choose the squad.
Select a normal spawn and then click around the area where your spawn is. You maybe get the point and can spawn there ^^
