Friendly fire

Has there any thought given to allowing shooting of teamates, or at least some thing added to the communication wheel to signify your anger? All day long I have been out of the way building rally points and I am getting run over by my own teamates and dying.
Also watching tanks drive into the battlefield , stop and not do anything…or squads take off and not even try to help on obectives and finishing the game with less than 10 kills. If you don’t want to help, why play??

Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Stotheg the Vile?

I thought not. It’s not a story the community would tell you. It’s a player killer legend.
Stotheg was a player killer of Enlisted. He was so vile, yet so sly. He could use the flames to influence the game to create, death. He had such a knowledge of the greif, He could even keep the ones he cared about, from spawning. The player killing side of the game is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. Stotheg the vile became so powerful that the only thing he feared was being banned, Which eventually of course he did. Unfortunately, He taught his apprentices everything he knew. From barbed wire rallies, to molotovs and flamethrowing shenanigans.

I think DF needs to make changes so that you shoot through your team mates as to many times either my BOT or a team mate stepped in front of me when I am shooting the enemy, only to block my shots and I end up dead along with the soldier who blocked my shots. If your teams Artillery, plane bombs, gunfire, ap mines and tanks can’t kill your own team mates, then your team’s Tanks and APC’s shouldn’t kill you when they run you over either.

Id still like Friendly fire on HE at least, like the old days, and negative score for careless Spam

Its rediculous that HE spam can be used as a shield to advance inside of…another reason its so rampant these days

IMO

Turn on friendly fire for artillery, bomber bombs, tank rounds, and plane bombs/rockets. Make it like Rising Storm 2

I’d be ok with it being on any HE, bomb, artillery, flamethrower, non-smoke grenade, or rocket as long as two things are met:

Kick Vote option ( or some sort of punishment vote such as friendly fire items deal 0 damage for rest of game for that player … think the dud bomb, out of fuel, etc) on 5? team kills where team can vote kick (this is to punish those that just team kill to be a … you know what.

it is CLEARLY indicated in game that this has been changed AND in game reminder that such item contains Friendly Fire. Could have a warning on the map for artillery as well.

To be honest, there are times I am so frustrated with the sheer amount of non stop artillery being launched into cap points by both sides that I think it should kill everyone on both sides. However, that wouldn’t curb the use as people in general are not smart enough to learn to use it strategically so all games would end with most squads dying by artillery fire. Hell, as it is I lose almost 1/3 to half my squads to artillery fire anyway. Last night, I played level three Allies and I lost my first three complete squads to artillery. Statistically it was the worse game I had ever played. I killed 24 and lost 19 squads…Most due to artillery fire. It was a complete clusterfuck and I was inches from deserting many times due to frustration, however, I had a couple daily goals that I had met, so I endured it. :expressionless:

Yeah it used to be this way in the past, and I liked it. You can see where your team is…simply make a good choice…make a bad choice, negative points…too many and kick.

thats how it used to be

It would take a while to adjust. But people do adapt eventually after experience with negative scores or kicks

At least games have less chance to snow ball under the Iron curtin on HE spam…because there will be no one alive on the point lol

I remember, it was good fun, but i do think it did need a vote kick option. and now that we have plenty of people that play now that didnt play back then, reminder and in game clarity would be REQUIRED to reintroduce it.

Maybe we should make a thread about it and see what the possibility about trying it again…With cannons, bombs and rockets getting bigger and bigger…maybe people might see value in it? Making Bigger not always better…more risky
