A bit of context:
Needless to say how important and very awelcomed the free looking/visual feature is.
but i think it could use some tweaks in order to be fully use it’s truee potential, and make it abit easier for everyone to be used.
because:
( no offence of course, we are here to fix things together )
Main Idea:
the main idea, it would be to improve and add a couple of features regarding the Free visual ( with C button ) Over infantry, and tanks.
Infantry Section:
in this section, i’ll cover the main tweaks that i could think of related to the infantry addressing the main issues with the current build [ 0.1.19.33 ].
- Free Visual Smoothness
currently, it would be great if we could use a smoother “transition” when the player release the button when looking other ways and go back to the main view. the current issue with that, is that it’s not smooth making me lose focus.
what i mean:
as you can see, it’s not smooth, and it makes the player a bit confuse and not focused as it crudely switch visual with no tracking of where you were looking at.
How it could be fixed: ( note, speed doesn’t have to be necessary slow/faster )

so, if the animation would be alot smoother, it would help to keep track, and focus better a little bit easier.
after all, just like in real life, you don’t flinch so quickly with the neck. otherwise, i’m quite sure it would snap.
- Add a Free Looking feature when Aiming and/or using Bipods.
one thing that i found a bit frustrating, is that when i’m aiming, or when i’m using a bipod, i cannot look around, and i’m forced to detach my bipod, and go in hipfire in order to being able to look around.
Here is what i mean:
and lastly for this section;
- Add Free Visual when climbing ladders.
with the last update, ladders have been somewhat reworked. and it’s great. but currently, it’s not possible to look around because the character will automaticly start to climb down the ladders for no reason:
it would be handfull if you could watch around when climing without being forced to “slide” down.
Tank Section:
- tank’s Copula.
the current issue with the coupla, is that are too tidious and mechanical to be used correctly when trying to watch through each observation points. it takes too much time, and it’s really off-putting as you can’t even zoom:
how it should look like and be like:
( just watch for 5 seconds )
so that you can easely see with the mouse. i would suggest something like the already present and curret system for airplanes in the cockpit. where the soldier can look around.
- Add Free Visual When looking out of the hatch
another issue, is that the commander, everwhere he looks, the main gun face the particular direction the commander is faceing. this is not good because with heavier tanks where turrett speed it’s slow, it might cost vital seconds just to aim on point when you were already steady and just wanted to look around.
suggestion for fix this is:
just like the weapons, when pressing C the main gun does not move, while the commander ( player ) can look around without moving the cannon:
