FPS Drops and DLSS issues in Enlisted on Acer Nitro (RTX 3070 / i7-11800H)

Hello everyone,

I’d like to ask for some advice regarding my laptop. I’ve been running into some performance issues specifically with the game Enlisted and can’t seem to find a solution on my own.

My PC Specifications:

  • Model: Acer Nitro (exact model unknown)
  • OS: Windows 11 Pro (10.0.22631)
  • CPU: 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz
  • RAM: 16.0 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU (100W)
  • Storage: 477 GB SSD
  • GPU Driver: Game Ready 581.15

The Problem:

My main issue is with the game Enlisted. I’m experiencing significant FPS drops and stuttering, especially during intense firefights or when there are a lot of effects on screen, even on medium settings.

Additionally, DLSS doesn’t seem to be working correctly. When I enable it (on Quality or Performance mode), the FPS doesn’t improve much, and sometimes the image becomes blurry or has noticeable ghosting. It feels like the game isn’t properly utilizing the GPU’s power, as the performance is much lower than I would expect from this hardware.

What I’ve Already Tried:

  • Updated my GPU drivers to the latest version via GeForce Experience.
  • Set the Windows Power Plan to ‘High Performance’ and used ‘Turbo’ mode in NitroSense.
  • Ensured the game is running on the dedicated NVIDIA GPU (confirmed in NVIDIA Control Panel).
  • Tried toggling V-Sync on and off in the game settings.
  • Verified the integrity of the game files.

I would be very grateful for any ideas or advice on what could be causing this and how to fix it. Thank you!

Every time an update comes out, especially if it’s one with graphical improvements, the game runs horribly for the next two weeks. It’s normal.

It’s not about your laptop, Gaijin needs to optimize the game. I play on a GTX1050 and I lag a lot when artillery lands.

I had an hp pavilion gaming 15 gtx 1650 but AMD was pouring everything but for some reason it doesn’t want to on the acer

I have a GTX 1050TI, I always have a lot of lag issues. Even at 90 frame rates, also in some maps like Burma, I have severe FPS issues. I always thought it was my computer, until I got a laptop with RTX 4050 and I still had lag. :joy:

Gaijin don’t know how to optimize foliage and it’s shadows, they just spam hundreds of them “Because they look nice”. They’ve ruined my framerate with reworked Seelow and also Weld. You really need RTX 4070 (or even super) to run at 1080p/high now. It’s getting ridiculous. I had to drop to mid/high mix on my rx 5700 xt and it’s still not ideal dropping frames all the time all i need to look at the bushy areas.

And they preferred to waste all their resources on ray tracing, something I don’t think even one percent of players would use.

I have a fairly good system with an overclocked GTX 5080; the game itself is installed on an M2 SSD with a read speed of around 8000 MB/s! RAM 64GB.

Enlisted is pretty much the only game that I can only play on DirectX 11; with DirectX 12, I only experience stuttering, micro-freezes, and FPS drops.

Even with this setup, I still experience some drops occasionally under DirectX 11! In short, I would say it’s only due to Enlisted and not your hardware.

top end pc and glassfibre connection high speed over here… Enisted gives the most defects and framedrops. Cant set the shit on max, visual settings halfway and it already causes jams.

I would suggest turning down water quality to medium and clouds to off or low settings. Also changing the shadows to medium or high and locking your frames to your screen mh rate. also have motion blur off lol.

im sure you already did all that so its probably the game. Is your laptop getting really hot because it might be getting heat soaked. For me i managed to get my gpu to run somewhat cool 130f-140f but thats a pc station compared to a laptop

also by any chance is your ssd space almost full even tho it shouldn’t affect your game experience
