There is a Bundle called “Starterpack”: it will help you get started. Then there are Premium squads: they contain premium stuff like unique weapons.
Premium squads already have four rank 5 with maxed out special weapons. I´m saying that if we add more free assaulters with free weapons (PPD drum and MP 40 let´s say… because those are pretty strong, especially in the campaign that favours SMGs) we will get same overpowered broken shit we had in CBT because this is what you are suggesting.

+35% vitality
+75% medpack speed +20% aim speed +80% aim stability after recieving damage and +200% hp restored from medkits combo when previously you could only pick one from each category
Vertical recoil perk for most classes only become available at rank 5
Horizontal recoil perk is only available to rank 5s
Plus a bunch of smaller perk combos that I’m not going to bother to list because they’re fairly obvious
Premium squads are supposed to give you unique weapons, skin and exp boost. Not an active gameplay advantage, because then it would be definition of P2W. Restoring premium squads to what they once were is exactly providing them that said advantage.
Also, you can do well enough with CBT premium squads even now.

To all people here, the ones who want the old premium squad back, there are pros and cons but i wish you luck they will bring it back. To the ones who hope it stays that way, there are pros and cons, but i wish you luck as well. both sides can just hope,
Something else that has to be considered when asking for bigger premium squads is the progression changes that we’ve had since OBT.
There has been a reduction in overall squad size. It’s not as easy to obtain higher level weapons even if you invest a lot of time in to the game because the silver tokens are behind a 3 task per day battle pass. It’s also also difficult to obtain grenades and have them in large numbers like in CBT. It has made the grenade spam go away to an extent and this has certainly made automatic weapon squads more powerful.
All of this advantage(besides the obvious ones) over an average player and you need more firepower!?

to be honest, i dont care about the advantages 
make them rank 1 soldiers with rank 1 guns if you want. I just love and bought the squad because of the uniforms and the soldier looks, because my grandfather used to serve ussr in a very similar unifrom 
I just were so happy to get reminded of him by using this squad… Man if you want give them even disadvantages i just miss my grand´father and love to see the memories 
soldiers 5-7 would not get the special uniforms so this only is an argument against buffing the squad back to 7 soldiers lol.
I played in the CBT and i KNOW they used to wear the same uniform, all 7 people. The best way to solve all of the problems would be if they would make a way to customize the soldiers uniforms (only realistic with clothes which you have obtained through the squads in the campaign) I get to see my memories with my grandfather and you get all of your fairness and balance ingame…
First of all I fully respect your grandfather, but I do not offer any more disadvantages. All I´m saying is, that those squads are fine as they are now. Also, sentimental value have to go aside because it will cause (again) issues with balancing.
Those squads are now part of Gaijin´s market and I´m sorry your favourite ended up to be a victim of snail´s predatory monetizing. However, that is the reality that we need to work with.
If devs restore premium squads to their former glory, they will again cause severe balancing problems.
they had same uniform. Any soldier assigned to premium squad changed uniform to match the squad.
Got emotional because of all of the memories arguing is noth worth it… i am sorry for maybe anger some of you people, i wish all of you a great day and a successful future and be happy with your families 
As I said, they may have sentimental value to you (and that is perfectly fine), but for the rest of playerbase they are primarily a balance issue. For everyone´s sake, I think they should stay same way as they are now.
At least your motivation is not to stomp everybody else (which is what most defenders of those squads did)

Topic of premium squads was sadly always controversial and evolved into toxicity. It is truly sad, that premium squads turned out to be so problematic on their introduction. If Darkflow and snail could just hold back with greed (or introduce adjustments during CBT to refine them with the offered help from CBT participants), they could perhaps end up differently.

As for the fact that you dont even know that 12 damage is enough to oneshot a dude, especially at close just speaks volumes. You know nothing about the game and obviously cant even play without broken premium squads. Screenshots you provided only confirm that.

Nope. They have 4. The other slots are other types of soldiers.
A soldier has 10 health. Above 10 damage, the soldier will go into a downed state if they have a medkit. There are more aspects about this but I won’t go into those here right now.
Free squad gets limited options at most so prem squad should not get “any”, If they were to add the extra soldiers again.
The fact that their levels are higher by default and their guns are more powerful? Even if you spend those months maxing all your soldiers you can’t match premium guns.
Edit: forgot I replied to this already lmao.
The nerf went too far to one extreme. Removing the perks was fine, but removing the extra soldiers was too far.

nah premium squads should in no way outperform normal squads and they did even with the perks removed. If they were to keep 7 soldiers the guns would need to get nerfed too, and the 5th-7th soldiers replaced with the same as in the normal squads.
