How long does it take to learn how to use an MP40 vs a PPSH? Both are simple stamped SMGs. The PPSH was just cheaper and more effective and because one is made in Germany doesnt just make it incredible and the other some garbage slav gun
Exactly, with 70 rounds any poor chump could kill anyone with little aim
They only really had 35 round mags at the end. Drums were expensive and unreliable and the PPS 43 only ever had stick magazines
thats 30 rounds more than needed to kill someone
Still drums and box mags are manufactured at the same time during the war and meant to serve side by side with both of them being widespread as seen in photos and various footage. Drums are heavy too. Also the approach on the PPSh is different compared to the MP40 and even the PPS where the former was meant to be a standard issue weapon with over 6 million produced.
Germany even late war had a different approach towards SMGs.
Right but saying one has a drum must mean the soldiers suck and are poorly trained is just biased.
The PPSh was more accurate and fired bullets at higher velocity than the MP-40, when they switched to the 35 round stick mag it became much more relaible than with the drum, it is most certainly not a garbage gun.
Really nice to see and agree it doesnt deserve a nerf. Only thing i would like to see its being bit dispersed at mid to longer ranges around 40-100m along with PPD but thats it.
I love to see that you mastered the small br br br at mid ranges smging and can clearly see that youre mastered the art of an assaulter
Thanks man, very much appreciated!
Never said it was garbage, itâs a great gun and I will always pick one up off of a dead person
Sorry mate but those kill/death ratios doesnt show PPSh is OP
Nah.
Some nerfs are warranted, like bomb nerf, lmg nerf, arty nerfâŚ
But what did those had in common? They touched all factions equally. None of those fields were the workhorse of specific factions, unlike smgs for Russians and auto rifle for Germany.
Nobody seems to mention how much of a huge help ammo boxes are to the PPSh considering its rate of fire being a bullet hose. There are situations where I was able to maximize the use of my PPSh because of ammo boxes around getting more kills in the process.
This is the case for all late-campaign weapons. As is big ammo pouches
I see, so you think the gameplay change can be paralleled with the weapon balance. I understand.
Based on the workhorse sentence, I think you still believe there is an asymmetrical balance here. OkayâŚ
Based on these, I think it would be a shame to have this debate. It would not make sense.
I admit, everything is good as it is.
Cool.
the currently pace of enlisted is fine it does not need to be changed
Limit the amount of fg42âs in the squads and dont nerf the PPSH-41 as it does not need to be nerfed instead perhaps add more small arms choice for the axis forces early and mid progression. Nothing needs to be nerfed this doesnt have to turn into another heroes and generals.
I own the PPSh drum ingame, and holy shit, this weapon is so good that it make me not want to use the AVT-40 or DT-29 in order to counter FG-42 II.
It really is.
Right now Germany counters it with fg42II, but even then it seems balanced to me, as I can mow down fg42II squads with ppsh41, or alternatively, mow down ppsh41 squads with fg42II (and 2-3 magazine).
Nerfing ppsh41 is a bad idea, itâs supposed to be great like that.
I also believe Nerfing or restricting auto rifles to be a bad idea as well at the moment: they are not overpowered like some believe. In any case if they are one day, Germany will merely spam long awaited stg44 squads⌠identical (imaginary) âproblemâ.
I dont see them as being over powered but they do make all other rifles essentially obsolete. It creates straight linear game play which for me atleast I find pretty boring. Radio operator? AVT 40. Engineer? AVT 40. Everyone gets one. Maybe limiting some soldiers with semi or bolt action only rifles would be a decent idea. Whatâs the negative to the AT soldier since he gets everything a rifleman does but also a panzerfaust for example
