Give The Defending Team a Chance to Build Fortification for the Objectives Only During The Start of the Game. Sometimes the defenders collapse so easy that it waste everyone’s EXP Boosters
so the time while the attackers are running is not enough?
Dont forget about the Motorized and Mechanized Infantry and the riders. At least Make Our Engineers Do More Jobs like making a tank traps, trenches, and sandbag covers
No, it’s not.
Because so many defensive battles you spawn and BAM you’re under attack. The enemy is RIGHT THERE running at you and you barely have enough time to run upstairs and attempt to mount your LMG (remember mounting weapons in Enlisted rarely works).
Otherwise both sides have to run all the way to the objective so by the time the defenders reach the objective they are supposed to defend, the attackers are again already there.
We have all these buildable defences for engineers, but never any time to build them.
It’s not just annoying for defenders, as an attacker its not always fun if its a complete walkover where the battle is over in barely 10 minutes and youre just running after the enemy and dont even get many kills because the tryhards up front have massacred the whole enemy team.
Is it really that crazy of an idea to have at least some battles where the attackers are attacking a fortified position, rather than spawning basically on top of the defenders?
I believe after each objective there should be a cool down period or at the very least at the start spawn defenders on the damn point and then give them idk a minute, 2 minutes to prepare.
Naturally it would then be up to the defenders to use their time wisely.
All I know is they can stick assault where the sun doesn’t shine because the defenders in my matches win 90% of the time (I think it’s assault where you have to capture two points at the same time). It’s cool if your defending, but in my games if your attacking it’s the kiss of death.
It all depends on the team. If they’re quick enough, then the squads with engies have the time to retreat and build rallies., MG points, Ammo points.
It sounds like you got kerb-stomped.
A good team will acknowlege when a point is lost, and retreat accordingly. A bad team won’t. They’ll sit at the edge of the advance trying to pop heads.
Yes, game modes with more than one objective at a time need to be removed.
You cant attack/defend two places at once. It just doesnt work.
As I said recently in a game like Hell Let Loose it can work since there’s an overall human commander and then squads where everyone is an actual player. So the commander can say right, Bravo & Charlie squad attack A point, Dog and Easy squad attack B point.
But Enlisted we dont have that. And as I said before, we are dealing with players who cant even build rallypoints or mark enemy tanks so expecting them to evenly split the team. And if you do that what usually happens is a small group of guys end up trying to defend against the whole enemy team while the others are just chilling at the other point and dont know whats going on (and if they go and help then the enemy just takes the point they left)
@LokalHero Strongly disagree. You never have time. The enemy takes the point, you have to run all the way back to Timbuktu. All your AIs get shot in the back. By the time you make it to the next point the enemy is already attacking it.
Certainly even if you do get there first there’s no time to build rallies, MGs, ammo box etc.
Doesnt help either when youve built an AT or AA gun and you got killed or were overun and dont have time to destroy it. So you go to the next point, there’s enemy tanks or aeroplanes but you cant build a new one because it still ‘exists’ and you cant destroy it because its behind enemy lines and thats just really impractical.

If some fanatical builder takes it into his head to start strengthening his position, he will do it without paying attention to the enemy.
these 30 seconds will not give you anything, you will only run and build Respawns behind the point during this time, and it’s not a fact that you will make it)
The rest of the barriers are being built calmly by order through bots.
Man, even if you strengthen your position perfectly, the same tank will arrive and break everything you built there in 10 seconds. It’s worth it?

Yes by the time i spawn and leave objective to build rally the point is already getting captured half the time. so if i do manage to get a rally down and get back to objective there no way to build any fortifications as there enemy’s either inside or too close.
it makes sense on maps that aren’t very defensible but on like Normandy where Germies get literal bunkers as defense points, I don’t think it would work.

You absolutely have time. But if your sole engie dies before you retreat enough, only then is it worth standing and fighting, a fighting retreat, so to speak.
If most of your squad is dead though, then it’s worth using the “Kill Soldier” button on the main menu to help you respawn closer to the point.

Defenders, at least majority of them, will not fall back but just use this to camp in former CP and kill attackers.
The comparison with HLL suck ass on multiple accounts.
The biggest difference is thar defenders in other games also have tickets (HLL has somethingwith manpower but that is not very relevant). This alone forces defenders to play less reckless unlike in Enlisted where defenders often rush into grey zones or suicide-crash with planes, knowing that they at worst waste a plane slot for their team. It also encougerages defenders to stay in fallen objective zones and slay attackers. Something that even BFV adressed.
Maps are also different with objectives being far less clustered than here, not including the spawns.
Some game modes such as Assault offer a near abolute victory for defenders to the point the defenders must ve worse than attackers to lose. I do not know one game which has such a stupid mode. While not having defenders and attackers per se, Confrontation offers advantages for the team which falls back.
All of that also applies to attackers.
That only means your team is struggle to stay around CPs and hold their line.
Why do you build that when your team is struggling to keep the CP?
