For planes lovers

Today I have the amazing chance to go see a genuine vintage p40 Warhawk… in flight!

Our south neighbours (USA) are coming for an aviation festival where I live and I thought I’d share it to make fellow planes lover I know, jelly. :upside_down_face:

(Invited pilot: Thom Richard of Warbids adv. Inc.)

I just saw it. I gotta say, seeing a 80 yrs old plane flying and doing acrobatics is really majestic.

Flew quite close, about 500m. Thought it was gonna strafe me as it dove

Fuck as I typed this, a Cf18 jet decided to go next, over 300m top. Saw the pilot.

Crazy stuff.

I love planes.

We are! Miss is taking them with her apple.

Now this:

It’s a special one because only the best pilots can really use them. To gather water in a river or like WHILE flying and never stopping, is renowned to be extremely difficult.

Air shows are soooo cool.

The last one I went to was a couple of years ago, But had alot of the good stuff!, spitfires, mustangs, Super hornets, F-35s

Super Hornet Going straight up on take off was awesome. Also did this crazy basically hovering manuever (think it was a cobra, but then he just sat there for a while). was awesome

There was really ballsy pilots today.

One in a lil Yak55m in particular. Ooof did he beat his lil plane! Kept going in spirals, climbed in candles up to stalling, then fell, then spun. What an ace.

The Cf18 was quite nice to see over our heads at 300m. Could clearly see the pilot. Once he did a fun move where the plane nose was upward but he kept going parallel to the ground. Looked like a dance.

And of course it wouldn’t be a Canuck show without the national team:

I just noticed that Australia has the same tradition of calling it’s air force “Royal”. It’s nice to see Commonwealth brothers keeping traditions

Yeah I think thats the one. Plane is basically looking straight up vertical (not quite) and just sitting on its engine thrust, just hovering along?

that was awesome to watch. A pair of super hornets did this from one end of the runway to the other, Then slammed on their afterburners and went near straight up.

Was awesome…(and fucking loud!)

yes, but going forward, it was quite impressive to see. What’s funny is that the plane that did this was ALSO a super hornet ( CF18, where C is just for “Canada” when a model receives many modifications to satisfy our military’s requirements)

I wish there’d be some Spitfire to see here

I don’t know what Canada did with all those our pilots used.

Edit:
