For new players

When i look this forum and other enlisted related site, i see bunch of new players asking things that i thought the most basic things in Enlisted.

You can also tell this by looking matches where most of people don’t build rally, or run objective and basically not understand the basic game.

The hostility toward noobies in Enlisted is what killing this game.
Fancy jets and shiny weapons aren’t what keeps this game alive
It’s more new players that prosper the game and this applied to any other online games.

Thus, I suggest few things that might help new players:

Have proper tutorial.
Pretty basic, Enlisted needs more detailed toturial for noobies, not just “how to move and shoot”.

Run more ads.
New players doesn’t just spawn out of thin air. You gotta run ads, give ads to content creators etc.

And maybe also use war thunder as well. We all know DF annexed by gaijin, so why not some in game ads in war thunder as well?

Better starter pack.
New player would get 1 rifleman squad, 1 medic and 1 sniper squad. It’s just patethic. Now player must have engi and get rid of sniper squad.

Invitation link.
War thunder has it. Make oldbies do ads for df. Me as oldbies would gladly spread this game.

Little premium squad after finishing toturial.
A little squad with full upgrade and research bonus factor for finishing toturial.
This would make new players to play game more to make that premium worth.

Full br5 deck for testing.
New player won’t know what br5 (end of techtree) would be like.
Give new players temporal 3 fully equiped br5 squads and br5 tanks so new players can experience br5.
The br5 squad should be available for 7 days and gone.
This would motivate new players to research top tier.

Way to obtain legacy squad
I can be simple as do x amount of kill with y weapons or more complicated way, but new player should be able to get legacy squad.
I as someone who played since open beta am willing to give away my llegacy privilege if that means more noobies.

Voici few things that I think would help attract more new players and keep them in game.
I think new players are the most important thing in online game, including Enlisted.

This will only weaken their motivation. BR5 competitions are nothing but pain for a novice.

Maybe not versus players but ai

Yes, and the old event squads. It would be a real pain for a new player to not have access to the event paratroopers and APCs. Especially since we have an achievement for the paratroopers. A better way to get them would be more motivating for players.

enlisted doesnt have problem with attracting players. it has problem with player retention. data taken half a year ago showed iirc ~1.6-1.8 million unique players over 3 month period. most of them play only few battles and then quit, so despite having so many unique players playing the game over 3 month period, you only have ~100-130k unique players daily.

honestly marketing for the game sucks. e.g. WoWS and WoT have tons of promotions for new players where they give gold, premium ships/tanks, few premium days for players to actually give the game a chance.

Just a proper non-skippable tutorial would be already a good start. Number of people not building, marking and that are just running around like headless chicken (even in BR i saw some that lack basic enlisted knowledge).

I agree. This is what I’d do.

  1. Remove Sniper squad for beginners and give them an engineer. To promote building structures and team work for new players instead of camping and trying to do the “lone wolf” crap.

  2. There should be an extensive tutorial that explains you the basics of tank warfare mechanics. Nothing complicated just a simple overview of critical components to target. For example, the player could be instructed to go to the tank range and access a tank. And something simple like “Aim your gun to the ammo rack,” “Well done, soldier!” You know, simple stuff.

  3. The boot camp tutorial should have a small battle simulation. Nothing too complicated, I’m just asking for something like “Oh no, the base is being attacked!, quick get your weapons, soldier!” And then you make the player fight against like 5 or 10 bots. This could also work for the tank tutorial, making the player fight tanks on the move.

And the most important of all, the player should be rewarded with silver for completing the tutorials. That’s a good incentive for new players.

Make the tutorial demonstrating the dynamics in the game for infantry, vehicles and planes…stress the importance of rally points and playing the objective, to the importance of taking out enemy rally points and vehicles.
Then they have to chage the point system for things like arming and disarming bombs…no one wants to do it since it is unrewarded and time consuming…especially when you need research points to level up.

That sentence summarises the whole problem.

The game is dying little by little because it doesn’t pay attention to the reasons that lead players to abandon the game so early.

they need to make it more clear how to unlock certain squads. giving the squad type emblem on the research tree by the silhouettes would be a great start…seriously. look at a new account. ask how do I unlock engineers? … why is it buried behind multiple screens / tabs to find it.

Add new factions, and then there will be 100% more players and more money. ER2 has already proven this.

bro, i downloaded this game BECAUSE of a youtuber who made a video out of it. TheRussianBadger.

it’s weird how they are’nt trying anymore. you would assume that more newbies = more potential whales. or ami wrong? are ads that expensive?
