Following the Roadmap: Upcoming 2024 enlisted news(informal)

In the Gaijin universe, Biggest Planet: War Thunder recently released their 2024 roadmap.
So for our enlisted planet, our roadmap for 2024 may not be very far away. After all, there are less than 5 working days until the end of May.
Regarding the new roadmap, I think the following should be noted:

  1. The different stages and sub-projects in the process structure diagram need to be described by developers in as much detail as possible.
Ask developers to play the role of real salesmen and tell your customers (God) the pros and cons of new products, new projects, new changes! Purpose and significance!

  2. Be a professional development and design planner! There must be clear and precise expectations for first drafts and deadlines for each project and its sub-projects on the roadmap. Developers will definitely clarify responsibilities and punitive measures for breach of contract, poor performance, etc. Just like loophole players and cheating players, dishonest people need to be whipped!

  3. The new roadmap should not be drawn up hastily! (For example, writing this the day before publishing, after drinking 2 liters of vodka)
Players have been reminding developers to write route reports since January!
Please let players see academic papers written by professional developers! Let them all praise instead of booing!

  4. There are still many bugs in our game, most of which have been reported to the developers by assistants and testers.
A large number of bugs are known to developers.
Therefore, players need to understand the developer’s time plan for fixing bugs.
Taking vehicles as an example, there are at least 5 bugs:
①:Switch between armored soldiers and the camera angle sinks to the bottom of the vehicle!
②When switching armor from commander to gunner, there is a chance that you will be forced to switch to driver! Maybe because of high latency?
③When the vehicle is born, it will be immobile, requiring armored personnel to jump out of the tank and then return to the vehicle. Only then you can activate the tank.
    ④transparent aircraft fuselage
⑤The gunner’s aiming probe was interfered by suspended objects, tree trunks, and bushes, and was forced to cancel the aiming state, losing the aiming bonus of pointing the probe at the opponent’s tank. Players can only blind-shoot based on experience.
⑥The impact of armored personnel carriers and motorcycles on the player’s participating legions. Cycle between 2 infantry regiments.

  5. It is recommended that each project in the new roadmap have the signature of the project leader. It will be used to allow players to brag about the great achievements of the project leader in the future!
Even in nursing homes, players will run over and ask for an autograph just because they hear the name of the project leader.

  6. In the new roadmap, you can mark which projects are decided and arranged by developers based on big data, which projects are subjectively decided by investors and decision-makers, and which projects are based on player suggestions adopted by developers (and who are these players) .

  7. In the new roadmap, each project needs to have short-term goals, long-term goals, and collaboration goals with other projects. Each goal needs to be marked with an expected completion time.

  8. In addition to the 2024 roadmap, I hope developers can have some understanding and insights into the development in the next two years. And introduce them to players (equivalent to investors). I’m being lenient and I didn’t suggest that developers formulate and publish five-year plans.

8 is the sacred number of Khorne!
Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne!

Ultimately, we players are the supporters of the game, our money keeps the servers running, the staff paid and workplaces heated.
We as players as well as supporters would like to know and understand what is going on behind the curtains and how is the development progressing. I think that the community is very patient but that doesn’t mean that our good will and trust should be exploited.

I hope that we get a roadmap thats not as vague as the last one, but the expectations you have listed here are insane. You seem to have a quite literal god complex in your portrayal of the developer/player relationship, the players can certainly influence the developers but we are by no means their bosses, or as you put it “god”. Giving players a roadmap with the names of developers on it only encourages witch-hunting and is a really, really, really bad idea.

I agree with the above comment. We all want more transparency, but you’re asking for WAY WAY too much. It’s totally unreailstic to expect any game dev to be entitled to doing such things as you’re asking for.

Very few games have CM teams that put out this proposed level of roadmaps and patchnotes. Enlisted, unfortunately is not one of them. (I however would love to be proven wrong on this regard wink wink DF)

If and or when we get a roadmap, I will hope for something similar to what we got but less of the hidden stuff.

Things I would like to see on the roadmap:

UI Overhaul (The current UI is horrible for new players and doesnt explain itself at all, never mind adequately). This needs to be made in a way that both is intuitive to someone that has NEVER played Enlisted, and explain itself either through a tutorial overview or general tooltips on hovering elements (disable able in settings).

Silver Gain Improvements

Squad Slot Improvements:

  • Event Squad Slot (Either combining the new Premium Slot, or as an Additional Slot)
  • Purchased Slots Become Optional to use (can leave empty)
  • Presets that take into account gear as well as squads

BR MM Improvements: Much discussed, But I would like to either see 1-2, 3-4, 5 or 1-2, 3-4 with ticket cost reduction for lower BR squads when used.

Custom Games Overhaul

and plenty more
