Played a level 2 game Germany vs USSR, assault in Maisky Forrest. It turned out to be a great game. We steadily took cap points and when we got to the last one, you had to cross that river which always slows you down. Anyway, we had almost 300 troops left so after we took the 4th cap point, I used my paratroopers to drop in behind the Russians (one of the few maps you can), which allowed me to get maybe 20% of the cap point before my squad died.
So with having over 230 troops left, 20 % of it taken and the final cap point being outside, I’d jump in my Stuka. The first couple passes I netted about half a dozen kills each, then I started noticing that I was not hearing “our men are taking the cap point”, and started second guessing whether I should have stayed on the ground. We dropped to about 75 before I finally heard the “we’re taking the control point”, but was thinking we’d lost by then. My next pass I killed 13, then made another pass. by then we were at 23 but almost half the control point was taken, and I killed 21 on that pass. After that the cap point went fast. I barely got one more run in just as we had zero troops left and about 10% left to take and scored another 8 kills, then it fell. A lot of times I get in the plane and things are great on the ground, then we lose, and end up asking myself, should I have just stayed on the ground? Well, today, the plane was the right option. Sorry for rambling on, but it was one of the few fun games I have played in quite some time.

sometimes is better stay on ground, sometimes it’s better on air, I think you did the correct thing, but we don’t know what team plan do next, unless you play in squad, as a support player, I prefer to stay on the ground most of the time…but you can be whatever you wish!

I always get airborne when fighting western allies and facing efforted CAS. Its okay if I don’t get much kill afterwards as long as enemy planes don’t survive their first run.

as support I build anti air for stop enemy planes during attacks or defenses, becuase I can’t play SPAA,too much meanies trying kill you for take tank slot
90% of the time flying is just a treat when your team is either so bad it can’t be saved or the enemy team is so bad nothing you do can stop them from throwing
Remaining 9.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999% is when you need a grayzone tank or an APC hiding behind a building absolutely gone and you only stay in the air as long as the thing isn’t dead
I’ve got 5528 battles played and I literally remember ONE where the team was actually doing better with me in the air full time. It was on that sideways church to church Normandy map where there isn’t any real cover for the infantry so I could just completely deny enemy the ability to defend any of the points by circling above the cap zone and dropping a pair of HVARs any time they tried to move to it. None of them thought to build an AA and i just pounded them one pair at a time for minutes on end.

Fly
If you fly well enough, not even AAA can touch you. Constantly change your attack angles.
If I have just had a squad or two vaporized by a grey zone camping tank, I am usually cussing at whomever is in the plane to get the hell out of it because all I can think about is killing that tank. Last night I had finished all my daily goals, and wanted to tryout my level 2 P40 Warhawk in a level 3 Russian game. I don’t normally fly fighters, usually dive bombers, but since it carried a couple bombs I switched out my APC slot and ran two planes, my SU2 being the other. Well, this is the results of my P40. 12 or13 Enemy bombers and 1 or 2 tanks. It helped that I was left unopposed for quite a while in my air campaigns. We won, so even though my kill total was not high, I would have to say it was better for me in the air.
