Flamethrowers to BR2

Lets face it
Considering you only get 2 flametroopers, lack of range, the fact the starter ones are BR3 and the short period the fire spewed from the flamethrower sticks around.
Flamethrowers kinda suck considering what i just said
So to make them suck a bit less
Move the first tech tree flamethrower for all factions to BR2
I need not say more
As for the br 4 flamethrowers, i got no problem on them

I wouldn’t be opposed to that. I think its time for DF to do some level reshuffling anyway. I would also like to see DF give a second Mortar squad. It would be nice to be able to use them in upper and lower levels without having to constantly change weapons to do so. In the grand scope of things, it’s not a big deal, however, since it’s not a big deal then it wouldn’t take much effort for DF to create a second one. Why did they create two different flame squads, but only one Mortar Squad?

I dont like to shoot down others posts, however in this instance I require a dual Bofors.

For God’s sake No. Helll nawww. HOW BOUT NOOOOO.

Flamethrowers ruin the game, especially when spammed on objectives.

Please dont move them to BR II. BR II is a good BR where new players can gain more experience and existing players can have a more enjoyable game.

If we add flamethrowers to BR II then we might as well add King Tigers and STG44s as well…

The BR system is stuffed as it is. I just had a BR III game against BR V, it was horrid. My squadmate quit and I dont blame him.
Bolt actions against an entire enemy team of MG42s, STGs and so forth. This needs to stop.

Lemme ask u smt
Exactly how many times have u seen a flamethrower be used?

have you tried to shoot a flame trooper hidden behind a wall of flame, yes they can be killed
by explosives, machine guns or from the side and rear
second ft can kill almost instantly wiping out an entire squad
so no BR3 and up is fire as is

I’d rather leave them at BR3-4 and instead buff their damage and maybe make it even harder to shoot back.

Flamerboys are very good if you know how to use them.
They are essentialy shock troops.
One good sway can disarray whole enemy line.

nah nah
They got a range of like 20m
They can only be used to their full potential in close quarters

Laughs in 3-4 legacy mortar squads.

There’s a reason why you hardly see anyone using these nowadays
The current flamethrower is just some kind of repeating shotgun
He needs a relatively close distance to kill the enemy quickly
Moreover, the attack range is too small and there is a severe movement penalty.
It is very easy for the enemy to counterattack as long as they react quickly enough and are not sprayed in the face at close range.
Even in the corridor, you only need to lie down or get close to the wall and shoot at the enemy to kill them easily.

Weapon performance cannot solve the gap between intelligence and ability
I guess you are encountering a group of players who are more skilled than you.
Maybe you are excellent? But this does not affect the proportion of anti-intellectual groups or something among your teammates.
Those spies are the ones who poison your gaming experience.
This is why classification should be based on player skill rather than weapon level

I like level 3 very much
Because in most situations I can use level 3 automatic weapons, explosives and rocket launchers to defeat the enemy.
This was true even before ±1 was implemented

In terms of current flame gun performance
They should all be taken down a notch
The 18-meter flamethrower is just garbage in a level 3 environment
The same is true for the 32-meter flamethrower in level 4 environment
By lowering their level, you can at least get more playing opportunities.
Instead of becoming accumulation in the warehouse

But that’s your fault then. On BR III each fraction has semi auto rifles. BR III vs BR V is a little bit harder (without a question) but still playable if you are at least average player.
Sounds more like he / you had only a few BR III weapons and start playing BR III - well that’s a mistake of yours.

No:

Yeah sure you only get 2 flamethrowers, but you get a squad of 7 soldiers, the same as the assaulter and machine gunner.

BR2 is supposed to be the “relaxing” BR with minimal explosions and just bolt actions and etc. Let’s also remember that BR1 players can face BR2.

And BR3 flamethrowers are still better than the average squads in Enlisted. Probably not top 3 infantry squads, but maybe top 5. They are still significantly better than medics and rider squads, etc.

Italian paratroopers do have small flamethrowers on BR2, maybe similar things could be added to tech tree or as premium/event.

I do want to see flamethrowers just for a little bit diversity. Honestly, SMG dominate BR1-2 so hard that I could even see BR3 flamethrowers moved down as they are, their short range is easy to counter by rifles while SMG nerds in the objective would finally start to sweat.

Not true.

I have majority BR III weapons.(eg M1928A1 and BARA2) I use Lee Enfield BR II rifles because they are much better than the M1 Garand and M1 Carbine both of which suck (they have terrible sights and take like 4 shots to properly kill someone).

Even if we were using all Garands that is irrelevant when the enemy has friggin assault rifles and the best LMG of the Second World War (the BARA2 is very good, but its nothing compared to an MG42).

Please stop defending BS. What’s the point of BRs if they arent applied??

BR V is for very late war and prototype nonsense. It should be its own thing.

I am definitely not defending anything - sorry to disappoint you. :kissing:
However it’s not about the weapons, it’s about the player using them. If you need 4 shots to kill an enemy with the M1 Garand, then it’s definitely on you. I have no problems with the Garand taking out opponents with 1-2 shots - even high BR players. And I don’t have any problems with the visor either.

I occasionally play with Japan and Axis on BR II against americans / russians BR V and have little problems there, ending up in first place on the leaderboard in terms of kills and points. I see it more as a small challenge. Most players act so predictably and that’s why you can easily outplay them with LowBR weapons.

And if I can do this and without going full tryhard, it won’t be rocket science for other players to do the same.
