Flamethrower packs should explode

As the title says would be a nice little touch to see the pack explode if shot directly

But… those things did NOT explode in real life… only thing that could would be the lil pressurized cannister, but the “gaz” tank itself would not. Could catch on fire, probably, but that’s about it.

Explosions are Hollywood.

And this a arcade shooter

Yes, and?
You can have arcade with realistic feel. If you want more Hollywood, you can go play cod, or bf.

How about if you cook a flametrooper with a flametrooper, they blow up? seems fair.

They just… burn. For very long. There would be a small explosion, akin to shooting a spray can, when the pressured cannister explode, but the liquid itself isn’t explosive… Flammable certainly, but not explosive per say 🤷

Like cars. In real life, a car and it’s gas tank will just burn. The only explosion it could have would be very small, which would be the gaz FUMES itself in the tank, if your gasoline tank is empty of fuel enough to have any space for an accumulation of gaz FUMES. Again, cars exploding like nukes are only seen in Hollywood and in fallout.

Yes, because those are EXPLOSIVE matters :stuck_out_tongue: there’s a BIG difference between FLAMMABLE and EXPLODING

Here’s something to help you out:

Flammable

I think they teach those in school.

Well there you go case closed

Make them catch fire and then the fire causes an explosion from the grenades

I wonder if it works, spraying tnt with fire in Enlisted. Ill test out in custom later.

what if we kiss during a V2 rocket strike?

That gas wouldn’t catch on fire either, because it was an inert gas (nitrogen, if I recall correctly). The reason is that if it was flammable and the flame would somehow go back into the gas tank, it would explode. So they always used something non-flammable.

Also, gas cannisters don’t explode when shot. Neither do they catch on fire.

Precisely. It’s why I wrote it would have the same effect as shooting a spray can.

They did explode. But only in certain situations.

If it was shot when the flamethrower was in use and the fuel connected to the fire

Or the flamethrower was shot by incendiary ammo. I think giving incendiary ammo to snipers would be cool
