Its not fun flaming a hallway or behind a ledge for you to get yourself on fire too. It makes it hard to say hold an obj room without burning yourself to death too.

range needs to be 30m instead of 5m
I think flamethrowers should receive less damage to fire because flamethrower units were given special equipment to withstand all that heat. But no, they should not be immune.
Yea I agree. Most WW2 flamethrowers had a range of 20-30 meters.
If flame troopers gain an immunity to fire, it can be easily abused. If there should be changed about flamethrowers, it’s the range which should be increased so you don’t have to close in while using it. That’s the main problem, flamethrowers currently has a short range and forces you to close in to use it, hence getting more risk to self burn.
Also, I think flamethrowers aren’t really advised to be used indoors anyway lol
currently, flamethrowers are only usable to deny enemies from getting into a capture point, indoors.
I think they could do with a lower chance of catching fire when running through fire, as well as that 20-30m range
i noticed armor slot for soldiers… maybe add clothing that withstands fire?
Increase the range of Flamethrowers, however do not make it 20-30 meters, the sizes of the maps we currently have will make that a bad idea, maybe just double the range for now,
Do not make the flamethrower immune to flames, perhaps reduce the damage, flamethrowers should not be used in tight spaces,
By increasing the range and perhaps spread of the flames, you enable the ability for the flamethrower to fire through windows and doorways. Without having to expose himself, thus, removing the frequency of catching alight.
Make the flames shoot out and spread out after say 1-2 meters after you fire. This is both realistic and will remove the issue where you hit random objects and set yourself alight.
Less damage to fire and also make it so they don’t have to extinguish the fire by holding F, and will only take damage when in contact with fire.
