No one plays enough to unlock one xD, I got one from a player once think I finish the game with it just covering a capture point like 20+ kill streak.
At thread maker I think the point a flamethrower is to be OP at close range.
flamethrower is actually one of the most underpowered and hard weapons to use in this game, OP is just a newbie, coming with arguments ‘i was killed - must be the wind’

Flamethrower fires like 15 “shots” a second so the instant you open up it makes the AI do all those snapshot checks at once and you get plinked lmao

yeah, flamethrower at normandy is even worse
- flamethrower still not able to burn tanks
- flamethrower aggro AI throw bushes like if it would be most laud weapon on the battlefield
- flamethrower has actually a machinegun mechanic in the background
- flamethrower can ignite an enemy, die and see the enemy easily distinguishing themselves (ai does that very well with instant spin + headshot)
- flamethrower requires some time to actually ignite someone, meaning you can throw a fire burst into someone’s face - BUT ITS NOT ENOUGH TO HARM THEM - which is ridiculous
Like DEVS, CAN YOU PLEASE WATCH THIS LIST AND MAKE SOMETHING ABOUT IT? Flamethrower is that much OP that playing it almost instantly ignites owners ASS!

I think flamethrowers are definitely not OP. Some high level streamers said they think most flamethrowers are actually underwhelming because of the 10m range and that they should be buffed.
Like people already said, if you died ‘instantly’ it’s because he fired at you constantly and just cooked you alive. It’s a very situation weapon, and on maps like D-Day you’re easy pickings and can’t do anything until you get good opportunity to move around into the objectives.
