Flame Thrower Range

I’m looking for a realistic flame thrower range.

Who’s with me. Realism is best. some guns just slay better.

Bolt guns should put down in 1 hit.

I am not in game right now, but i am pretty sure that the in game flamethrower range is not that far off

Seems short to me. more like 50-60 feet instead of 100. Flame has little dwell or range arc.

There are two flamethrowers, the first gen ones have considerably shorter range, while the improved ones have that full 32 meter reach.

That explains why I feel like I’m shooting a 25’ roman candle.

I thought more FT went further than 32m. more like 40m.

And Flame arc mechanics. We are shooting oil tar. I’d like to be able to flame the ground and make a barrier.

are you using Flammer 1 has the short distance roks 2
if your using Flammer 2 roks 3 it goes quite a bit further than the first

They all have realistic ranges. The FmW35 has an 18m range

The FmW41 has a 30+ meter range.

Its realistic now

If it were realistic the flame would arc and dwell on the ground for… 10-15 seconds since real time would be too much

it vanishes right now.

If you spray straight at terrain, the flames do stick around for awhile. Its not super long, but it’s enough that a flamethrower can be used to prevent easy access to an area with repeated application. Although I suppose it is fair to say that fire not aimed at the ground does just vanish is kind of goofy.

I am actually fine with the range, but what I find truly ridiculous is the fact that a guy on fire has time to fire back at you and then casually “extinguish” fire. Lmao. I’ve actually used that flamethrower on tanks and it just so funny to watch them drive away in a hurry in a magnificent fireball.

But I guess if they added realism, that weapon would be too OP. I am not sure if there is a cap, but if there isn’t, they could really wreck havoc.

The flame will not kill people instantly. So in theory, they can still shoot you. But their eyes (screen) will be covered with fire and can only blind fire at you. If you got killed by the people you torched, you are to blame for not knowing how to play Flamethrower.
