Engineer can have unique sand castle they can build for all I care.
Even if AT squad got both heavy AT as well as heavy AA it would be a fair trade off due to fact theres limited amount of engineers in said squad.
Unlike in regular engineer squad that can have 4 engineers, and by definition arent even supposed to be AA or AT squad.

Lol those are not comparable. Saying hmg is a specialize mg is like saying ptrs is a specialize semi auto rifle. They are not the same category. Since hmg have anti armor capability but mmg don’t have it. For at gun high br is just a stronger at gun. Nothing has fundamentally change.
If it is useless against high br at gun it is not fine.
Engineer squad have more engineer is exactly like at squad have more at gunner.

The HMG is a specialized MG because it has more damage, penetration capabilities, and more “HP” than the standard MG nest.
We then might as well just say that all Engineers at high BR have HMGs replace their MGs
It perfectly shows my point. The standard Engineers are supposed to do their basic job. Their basic MG nests do a decent job, you can lay down suppressive fire, but the MG squad who’s entire role is machine guns, has a more powerful MG
