I think I saw “flags” on some Italian helmets recently.
EDIT: i just checked it and nothing. Weird. I could’ve sworn I saw it.

It’s still on this helmet in the Italian engie squad:
They did have individual patches on uniforms but it wrecked the performance.
Understandable since like an extra png on every player/ai model when there can be 180 on each map should stress the engine.

Then they should be disabled in low settings and enabled in high settings. We already have an option to (not) download HD client in the launcher.
So imo performance just an excuse as tools are avalable since day one.
But maybe I don’t understand something.

which squad is this? i tried the tunisia changes and i didnt see these hat and helmet at all

Also realized Italian Machine Gunner squad (I) have this helmet. It’s not tied to the specific squad’s emblem though.

Ohhh, true. I was exping this squad recently to get option for GO engineer to take bag. That’s why I was using them. My bad.
In the Alpha, uniforms had insignias, for example you could have an American soldier with the sergent stripes on the sleeves. Why the disappeared, they didn’t tell me but I already launched the request and it might reappear in the future. For the moment, the devs are working hard on the merge. Unfortunately not a priority for now.

Yeah, there’s one forgotten relic from that ancient era. US Tankers in Pacific has option in customs to take uniform with badges of one Normandy squad.
I think @ErikaKalkbrenner or somebody noted they are still in the game files too, which makes no sense especially since not even the cosmetic choices have them. It’s the little things that break the immersion or solidify it.
