Flag carrier

Maybe give the russians a flag carrier to carry a flag into battle and give buff to nearby units

What a buuf to morale? Ah yes Ivan, flag bearer makes me less likely to retreat and be shot by commisar.

At first look, this sounds useless, BUT on second thought:

Instead of boosting stamina, what if a flag carrier could speed up the capture of zones? Like, if your team is capping AND there’s a friendly flagman inside the cap zone, capping speed is increased by, say, 25-30% (the amount of buff is to be discussed).

Necessary limits to prevent spamming:

  • Bonus DOESN’T stack up in case of multiple flagmen inside the cap.
  • The flag must be a physical piece of equipment taking either the secondary weapon slot or the backpack slot.
  • No dedicated ā€œflagmanā€ class, but possibly class-restricted (troopers only?)
  • In order to apply the bonus, the soldier must actively switch to the flag and wield it (left click waves it around?) - No shooting while using the flag. Melee may be ok.
  • The flag must be clearly visible when on the back of the carrying soldier (sticking out like AT weapons), making him a valuable target.

Even that could hardly make bots’ movement any more erratic than it already is.

Personaly i think thats not really good solution/mechanic…

First they increase cap times for soviets/allies then introduce mechanic to lower those time.

I dont think game where whole point is to capture objectives should require other team bring some ā€˜special’ classes to capture zone to have even comparable capture times

and decrease for axis:

Increased amount of reinforcements and lowered capturing time for axis in missions Fortress (Invasion), Moat (Invasion), Oasis (Invasion), Quarry (Invasion), Lehrter Bahnhof (Invasion), The Maisky Forestry (Invasion) and Monastery (Invasion).

(there was other nerfs to allies in that update but like we can see axis have already shorter cap times in same cap zones like maisky forest)
