Fixing Squad Behaviour as they die too fast

It’s basically meaningless having a squad because they get taken out very quickly and you make one last stand alone. Would really help if the squad members take cover more often

then just order your squad to stay behind cover?

Well, personally I have come to the conclusion that our squad BOT members were created as cannon fodder for other players. Isn’t it also ironic that the Radioman almost always dies first, even if the entire squad is ordered to stay in the lower level of a bunker 1,000 meters away from the cap point, unless I personally take control of the radioman.

that’s the issue.

you tell them to stay in cover, yet one of them always rambo towards the enemy for no reason and inevitably dies.

and the others just stay in the open even if you told them to stay behind the damn wall.

I really hope that the next major update improves the A.I, so they are able to survive longer, but I doubt that it’ll happen.

True :pensive:

There is always the one Hanz that has to go and frolic through the fields for some reason despite the fact that you are inside a house and have commanded your squad to sit inside the house.

One thing that seems to work for me (not always though) is if you take a shovel and dig your own foxhole (big enough for the squad to fit inside comfortable - but this of course is just viable for small squads). That said I agree the AI desperately needs an overhaul and looking into (but they are not the worst bots I have ever seen in a video game, there are some other titles with even more useless and stupid bots).
