Fixing infantry rifles

In the sniper rifles the soldier moves the rifle away from his shoulder to cycle the action where in real life he would be able to cycle the rifle while it is on his shoulder and not lose his sight picture.

While it sounds possible irl, I don’t think it’ll be feasible unless the shooter is bracing their gun against something.

Racking the bolt would likely jostle the gun enough that you won’t be able to keep your sights on target, especially if the shooter is in a hurry to rack is as fast as possible, and even moreso when the gun’s weight is put on just the left hand as the user racks the bolt with their right.

But that’s irl.

Frankly, I don’t care.

The biggest winners of this change, if implemented, would be the faster-RoF sniper rifles, because ADSing in and out of scope view is the biggest bottleneck in exploiting whatever rate of fire the sniper rifle has.

In real life this is completely possible and is how it is proper to shoot when in a crouched or prone position, although I am not positive on standing.

depends on the gun, it was easy to do with K98K but not with Mosin.
