Tiger 2 turret is too easily penetrated by Soviet tanks. The Henschel was used instead of the Porsche turret, and the Porsche turret is too weak.
The KT Herry will be added soon enough, it’s really just to make more levels
I hate being that guy… actually I low key love being that guy but they’re actually not Porsche or Henschel turrets. Commonly misidentified as such but actually both designed and produced by Krupp. Henschel and Porsche only were responsible to submit designs for the hulls. Henschel obviously won again

Oh I see. Thanks for clearing it up for me. So the Tiger II with the later Krupp version of the turret is better than the early one.

I’m a bit anxious with this.
There’s 3 things missing in Berlin for axis (panzershreck, Stg44, KT with prod. turret), but we’re already at lvl 38 or something?
One of those won’t make the cut which is shameful as all 3 are iconic.
Or either shreck or prod turret KT will end up as… premium squad…
They will probably give something over the top for Soviet side as counterpart. I wouldn’t even be surprised to see IS3 in Berlin at this point even if it would not make sense… there’s already rd44, as44 and stuff afterall.

With the SU-100 and Jagdpanther ended up being a premium squad, that is actually possible but what else do we have up to level 40 for Soviet besides SKS-45, ISU-152, IS-2 obr 1944 or even the likes of T-44 and IS-3. We are reaching the limit for the campaign so I think its better to have new maps instead.

Nah Berlin Axis can’t get good shit above lvl 32 except for the KT P.
We’ll probably get some fascinating new melee weapon for the next levels while Berlin Allies gets PPSh45 chambered in Tsar Bombas, M1 Abrams, and Sukhou Su 57.

Yeah so during the Tiger IIs development Porsche obviously submitted a rival design to the King Tiger we know and love called VK 45.02(P)
Porsche thought he was gonna win and started producing hulls for his design and put in a order for 50 turrets from Krupp to go with them. This is why that early turret is called the Porsche turret, because Porsche had ordered them for his vehicles but that process never say the light of day
He did the same thing earlier in the War with the Tiger 1 program he thought he was gonna win and made a bunch of hulls even before the contest ending. Those vehicles ending up becoming the Ferdinand/Elefant
However Porsche lost the contract to Henschel and those 50 turrets went onto the first King Tigers instead.
During all this the German military went the Krupp who designed the turrets for the Tiger II program and asked them to redesign it. Because of the rounded shape it was more time consuming and difficult to produce, plus the round cheeks risked becoming a shot trap if an enemy shell bounced off the armor and down into the driving compartment.
Krupp got to it and came back later with their redesigned turret which went onto the Henschels King Tigers for the rest of the production run which is why they’re referred to as the Henschel turret

I still really wanna see the Jagdtiger, Berlin is honestly the only campaign where it would belong since they saw so little action. Maybe the battle of the bulge but the reports of their use are all over the place from that time

It has been obvious to everyone for a long time that there will simply be a second is 2, which was in the alpha test.
Imo, everyone already knew this and has known it since last years.

Jagdtigers only started being issued to units in September of 1944 but out of the 88 made, they were not reported being used on the western front in battle until December of 44 so they wouldn’t fit in Normandy unfortunately

Axis SUFFAS again. Tiger 2 has too strong turret as it isn’t pierced by even IS-2 sometimes. Moreover KT has too much damage while piercing anything without aiming at weakspots

Jagdtigers would be both more effective and less invincible in Western Germany, and still i think such thing will be prem or event machine. Counter of it and KT(H) would be SuperPershing with additional armor
