Why does the Enfield M1917 single load 5 rounds when it isn’t empty rather than using the clip…? it doesn’t make any sense. Would be nice if they fixed this.
It’s not a bug. The magazine holds 6 rounds, although the standard loading strips issued with the rifle only hold 5 rounds. That’s how the Enfield M1917 got designed
I know… that’s why I want them to fix it so that you use the stripper clip rather than single loading 5 rounds when the gun isn’t empty…
Please read before you comment
If you mean this: shooting 5 out of 6 and then reloading 5 bullets one by one: it’s still NOT a bug. There is from the loading strips still inside with 1 remaining bullet. Your wish would work if the 6th single bullet would be the first “shot”.
All videos I saw testing the M1917 reloaded every 5 out of 6 bullets one by one although they had stripper clips next to it.
And like I said: that’s how the gun works
Are you trying to say that the round on the magazine follower is preventing the stripper clip from being used by interfering with the stripper clip guides…? And that doesn’t make any sense especially considering the Lee-Enfield was made long before this gun.
Or are you trying to say that it’s using en blocs…? You do know that it’s using stripper clips, right? You know, the ones that are removed after the rounds are inserted?! So how the hell would a stripper clip that is lying somewhere on the ground be preventing another one from being used to push 5 rounds in?!
And I’ve never claimed that it’s a bug, but it’s an animation oversight.
Then don’t talk about “Fix the reload of the Enfield M1917”
gun works fine
You’re just gonna ignore what I said before that… I see… alright then
Wait you are right? Because if it can hold 6 rounds then logically you load in the first 5 rounds with a stripper clip, you toss the clip aside once you push the bullets down into the magazine, then you top off the mag with a final 6th loose round.
I don’t see what could possibly prevent another 5 rounds to be pushed into the gun via stripper clip if only 1 round remains. I would understand if the clip itself stays inside the magazine until all rounds are spent but thats not how stripper clips work.
Unless I am missing something really obvious, which is possible.
Wait have I been wrong about stripper clips this entire time and you actually load in the clip itself? I thought the clip is just to hold the bullets temporarily and act as a guide for faster loading but the clip doesn’t actually stay inside the magazine?
