Likely on purpose because the real sights would bad game design.

Maybe they could make it an option so when you unlock the M1 Garand, where they have all of its stats, above that it could have a toggle called “realistic iron sight”.

No idea did they have L shape flip sights during ww2, nor it doesnt matter that much at this point.
But could add that, if theres really someone so masochist that he wants to use it.

i hope you realize aperture/peep sights are terrible in video games because video games dont have depth perception

you’re just asking for a major nerf to the m1 garand

developers shouldnt be wasting time and resources making features only 2 or 3 people will ever use

I mean to be fair they waist their time on guns that most players will never use, I mean most of Germany’s SMGs go unused and same with a lot of nations rifles

I’m all for realism, but the sights are widened to make the game actually playable
 Imagine trying to aim with 100% realistoc sights on a console hooked up to a tv lol

This is present in Enlisted if you take thd scope off of the M1903A3 sniper. It has realistic peep sights, so hard to use

I think the reason why they look the way they do in the game is due to the optical illusion that happens in real life. Whenever staring down closed in objects at close range, your eye will actually erase the shape and look through the clear eye, hence why the sights look more open.

That is why the sights look the way they do in game. They’re realistic.

Maybe those are correct sights for the M1 Garand, however I would not use the Garand, other then the sniper Garand if the Devs changed the weapon to those sights. Nothing like a gun sight blocking 90% of your target. :joy:

That’s not how the sights would actually look if you looked down them using your eyes instead of a camera.
