I am balls to the wall all the time, however I do cut power when I am bombing, and most of what I fly are dive bombers. I have been playing more level three Allies the past few weeks since I have not been drawing as many level five Japs, and I use the Mustang there. Normally I don’t last more then a few passes anyway before I either get shot down, or just misjudge my pass and crash into a tree or something after diving, so the overheating has never been an issue.
Be careful:
You will damage your engines. When you overheat you take damage even if it doesn’t show. At some point you’ll notice
“Why am I so slow now?” Even after lowering throttle and cooling off. It might even be bad to the point of loosing altitude.
If you keep your throttle to the max and keep overheat up, your engine will just die quickly and stop…
Some allied planes do run hot. But easily managed by dropping throttle once you have returned to height.
When you are crusing just drop to 80%, wont really effect your speed straight and level…and will reset your heat levels
I guess it would be a good idea to add overheat indicator/warning to the game.
Answer:
The Ju 188 was moved up to BR V with this in mind anyway, that its gunners will work again. If its carpet bombing ability in some players’ minds does not justify it to be BR V (at least in my personal opinion, (EDIT: as it’s my most used plane in the game), anything with that capability deserves to be for that alone), then its eventually-working-gunners should. So rest assured, this is still planned!
EDIT: This doesn’t mean I wouldn’t want to see other planes with similar capability move up, and this doesn’t mean that there won’t be other BR moves in the future.
Opinion of someone who most likely never played the plane more than 3 times, as for majority of time he’s playing infantry. And thus his perspective is heavily influenced by this simple fact.
And you are acting like dropping bomb one by one was some kind buff. Definitely not for carpet bombing.
It takes you a lot longer to drop all your bombs than you’d like.
It was only a buff in the context if you’re destroying specific targets with one bomb. Which of course most people don’t do with a clunky huge hulk like the Ju-188. You don’t want to circle for hours over a battlefield where you’ll be easy prey for AA and fighters.
It was more of a buff for fighters who have a very limited bomb load. Like 2 bombs. So suddenly they’re able to destroy two tanks instead of one.
Btw the Ju-188 doesn’t even have any Mg/cannon that could be controlled by the pilot. Unlike the tu2.
This is an absolutely incredible disadvantage compared to Tu2.
Plus addition of jets is huge nerf to planes like Ju or tu2 by itself.
If that’s the case, then I am happy and have no complaints. IF the gunners do work, then yes it could work in br5.
I suggest the front gunner be usable even while using the pilot. A bit like a tank commander can use the tank lmg.
Funny thing is that it seams that the 110 throttle was removed in the test server.
Already planned, all seats were available for a brief period of time but they weren’t fully ready so they were removed
(Oh major already answered, didn’t see it xd)
AKA we prenerfed the plane just like we wanted to nerf the Hino rifle but for some reason the balance patch centered around reworking the semi auto BR for BR 3 never came.
So will the guns actually work on launch or did you nerf something again with something in mind that just does not exist yet?
Now THAT, would cool!
That would be such a sick feature on all planes with forward arc gunners
Even warthunder doesnt do that (unless you count choppers)
Think about it, it would make sense:
- you can ALREADY control the plane, when you are using the gunner seat.
So… Since the gunner in the Ju… is facing forward… right beside the pilot… It would be the same?
I was thinking just like tank commanders as you said(or helicopters in warthunder).
You are the pilot but the gunners track where you are looking, keybind to fire
Infact, i think all gunner seats should track if it is in their arc from any seat and fire when you do
Most jets only go to 100 but Meteor 110 and prop planes also still 110
Than i was just flying the wrong planes. All planes I used in the test server only had 100 but granted it wasnt that many.
Hii, just to state, they weren’t all unlocked on Console, are console users going to have the same options or is PC finally going to win and have an advantage?
Always remember to thank Paradivison for that one.
So the gunners get fixed after like one or two months + whenever major update hits the corner?
Funny how suddenly they can revert such changes on a dime but when the panzerfaust just phases through tanks it was left like that for at least a month.
